Not a bad park for the price they charged last year. This year (2010) they raised the price due to the newly created water park.... for camping and park pass for two nights they want $340... I am sorry but that park is not worth that...... I won't be going back for that price.

I was very upset about my 3 day $700+ trip to Darien Lake. There were 11 of us that stayed at the campgrounds. The weather was in the 90's all 3 days and none of the water rides were open. This has happened for 3 years in a row. When I complained to the park they did not even give me as much as a free one day pass. Just another reason why they were not running. I will never go back there again.

Horrible venue! Road blocks on the way out causes 1-2 hour delays. Rude workers let people stand in front of my $100 seats and with the disgusting price gouging($5 water and $10 beers), I've had enough and will never go back!

we all enjoyed Darian Lake. I and my dughter and her family went just last Sunday. The place is very clean including the bathrooms. I do have some complaints. My daughter was given 3 free tickets including a meal for each. We were told that a braclet had to be bought before the meals could be valadated. so I ended up buying every one lunch which was very expensive. the pizza we had my daughter had a hair in her peice. if the ticket included free meals then why was there a need to spend more money. the other complaint I have is at the netrance there was nothing but confusion. seem like no one knew what they were doing. the one last complaint is the cost of water for one bottle. that was a steep cost. water should be free due to the heat and walking every one does. water is sort of a health issue. it helps to keep people from dehadrating. other then that the park was enjoyable but would I come back. I am not sure if I ever will. Thank You for reading my e-mail.

I wanted to submit a rating for Darien Lake.  My husband and two girls ages 6 and 7 went the last week of August.   We were very disappointed with the amount of rides.   Looking at the brochure and website, it looked like it was jam packed fun and there really wasn't many rides.   The rides were disappointing as well.  There were no crowds the week we went and yet the rides were so incredibly short we were frustrated us as we tried to figure out why they wouldn't allow for a longer ride.  The food was horrible and cold and very very expensive.  The RV we stayed in was clean but it was on a polluted pond of water as apposed to a lake. I really wouldn't recommend Darien Lake to others.   It's not worth the money.  be careful when you look at the wesbite.  It's very deceiving.

They have the superman ride, the tallest roller coaster in america i believe, i went on it a few years ago, it was really cool, the park couldnt be in a better area too, durring the summer the weather is perfect for a day at the water/ammusment park, it is also in some really nice country side.

Darien Lake is enough to satisfy your fix for amusement park fun, but if you need to travel you are better off going to Hershey in PA or a Great Adventure. We went there for a senior day trip in High School..fun rides, not enough roller coasters for me though. The water rides were a blast and the lines weren't too long since it was "Senior Day"..(High School seniors that is)..This is your average amusement park..they do have some fairly decent concerts in the summer.

Darien Lake is a nice medium sized park with a pretty decent selection of rides. Some good rollercoasters, an enormous Ferris Wheel (I was told it is the biggest in North America, who knows), and your usual selection of race cars and such. Definitely worth the visit if you're up in the Rochester area and looking for a fun day trip. Not too expensive and a great way to get some thrills on a warm summers day.

High School Senior Night for me was at Darien Lake. I remember getting on a bus in the evening and arriving at the park around 8 or so and the park was closed to everybody except for high school seniors from the surrounding areas and schools. What a fun time to be rowdy, meet new people, chase girls you don't know aorund to meet , losing a bunch of money on the frustrating but addictive carbival games and so on. We stayed at the park the whole night. I have been there on other occasions and the rides are all up to snuff, the lines are not so bad, and one of the nicer things about Darien Lake is that they also have concerts there. And these are not like Snow White in concert - they get some really good bands to come out abd play at a section of the park.
