I live about 20 minutes away from King's Dominion. This year they added the Dominator, which is definately worth any line lengths. King's Dominion also has good prices on admissions and season passes.  The food is kinda pricey, but hey, they have to make a profit somewhere. The rides are always in good condition and the park is always clean. The ride operators make it even more fun, they interact with us before releasing us from the station, they tell you facts about the ride, tell you to make some noise if you want to ride the (name of coaster), and stuff like that. I'm a season passholder year after year and it's a great place to go to have fun, they have so many roller coasters and thrill rides. Unfortunately I can't rate higher than a 5, but if I could I certainly would =)

Out of all the parks i've been to including Busch Gardens(ive been to the tampa one and williamsburg one),Six flags(magic Mountain),and universal studios(orlando),I'd pick Kings dominion out of them all.One they have shorter lines than these other parks.Who cares if they dont have the fastest coasters in the world like Cedar Point.I hate waiting 2 hours t go on a 2 min. ride. When i usually go to kings dominion,i'm not waiting in line for more than an hour for any ride.they have it all. From classic woodies like rebel yell to extreme steel coasters like flight of fear and the awesome hypersonic xlc and dont forget the breath-taking drop zone. This park is also the second cleanest park i've been to(busch gardens williamsburg).this park definately deserves a 5.

Paramount's Kings Dominion in Virginia boasts the most roller coasters on the east coast--and they DO have a lot! They have incredible roller coasters, like The Outer Limits: Flight of Fear, a full-indoor coaster in the dark which starts off at an insane speed and doesn't let up until the end; the Grizzly, a great old wooden roller coaster nestled in the woods which will jar every bone in your body; the Shockwave, one of few stand-up roller coasters; the Drop Zone, which is simply a straight-downward drop . . . but, from 305 feet up! It's a HUGE rush! They also feature the Extreme Skyflyer, which is pretty much a ten-story free fall on a cord (this feature requires an extra fee of $15 to $20). They have a Nickelodeon kids area and waterpark area. Almost every year, they've got a new coaster. Food isn't too good, but you won't be thinking too much about food anyway when you're there. Admission is fair, for all the rides you get. Not as beautiful as the nearby Busch Gardens, but ... Read more

As a surprise for my 22nd birthday, my husband brought me to Kings Dominion in Virginia..one of my best birthday presents ever (I am a roller coaster fanatic). This is a great park with excellent roller coasters, a fun waterpark for kids, various shows and unusually good food for an amusement park. Not too pricey..an economical and fun filled day.

I went to college in Washington DC and King's Dominion was not that far away, so I went there at least once a year. It is such a fun park. It is by no means up to date or anything, but it was relatively cheap to get in, not huge lines, great rides that are not the latest and greatest, but still great rides. Like every other park, tons of good food and fun carnie games to play. We had a fraternity formal in Virginia Beach, VA one year and the next day was spent at King's Dominion and that was a great day for me. I think this holds its own to Busch Gardens in VA.
