Great smokes, good flavor. Not very strong, kind of sweet flavor. Definitely not over powering. My grandpa smoked these, 3 packs a day. Sweet, pleasant aroma, one of my favorite's.

Used to love them ... but, around 15 years ago, the quality (freshness) when downhill, big time. I guess the tobacconist I purchased them at wasn't selling enough of them to have decent product turn-over. I used to buy them at Joe's in Evanston, IL. Joe is, long ago, retired (or dead), and the East Indians running the place, now, don't know how to keep fresh product on the shelves. I have since switched to American Spirit (unfiltered). Don't really know why the Players are so popular in Canada and not in the US. The ones I smoked (unfiltered) had "Virginia Tobacco" printed right on the pack. If they taste 'harsh' to you, they are probably stale ... it happens.

My famley has a combined total of over a hundred years of smoking this fine tobbaco product. If ever I had the oppurtunity to have a last cigarette, It defenetaly, would be a, """" Players Filter King Size.

Players Navy Cut! The best 'butts' out there! I was not even aware that they made them with 'filters' It's been about 15 years since I 'stoked one up' so I ordered a pack and I CAN'T wait until they arrive! Seems like no one on Long Island sells them here,so,I'm sure I'll be buying a carton real soon! Nothing 'punky' about Navy Cuts, they are what they are,a smooth yet, strong, and rich endeveavor! Peace...John C

I really enjoyed this brand. I first heard of it in a James Bond novel. I would stock up and bring back as many as I could when I went to Canada or England. The Canadians had a different box. The English brand had the classic blue box. I could only find an image of the old 25 cigarette Canadian variety.  I also smoked the non filter variety.

all smokes are good, but i thought there was something pointless about these. tough guys tried to smoke them, and also a lot of hipsters did.

Players are OK. A little harsh, but once you get past that they are decent smokes.

dear player's. My comment is that I love to smoke Dear Player's I have a problem!I bought a package of you 20 player's light and 8 of the 20 smokes came apart at the filter. For $10.00 a Package I would think that would be made a lot better.Unfortunately we bought them in a town that was not our own, therefore were unable to return them.We then had to go to the store and by papers to fix the ones that came apart.Thank you Terrye Chellew.

I am specifically comment on Players Filter. They are the strongest cigarette that Players makes, although I find them to have a really crappy taste (during smoking and after). Don't get me wrong I think players makes a good canadian cig, since I am a canadian they are my favourite canadian smoke, (Players Light) to be specific. My favourite american cigarette has to be camel lights. They are a nice flavourful cigarette that has a nice and not to harsh smell. The smoke is thick and smooth, and it doesn't leave the gritty, sore feeling in your throat as most other brands do.

Best cigarette on the market. A little bit harsh, so if you are wussy, consider yourself warned. I got hooked on these while traveling in Canada.
