We live in the michigan mt clemens area and had wow for about 3 1/2 yrs. Initially when we got it we had comcast before it! dont know why we switched?? my internet was good at first "15meg package" TV is so so.... within the last year it seems to have degraded significantly.. As i recall, comcast never gave me any issues what so ever with there internet and tv.. I recently installed myself installed a new drop amplifier and splitter and ran all new quad rg 6 with highend connectors throughout the house. before this the modem was dropping out which was not being heard at the network end.. output range on my motorola sb5101 was screaming to be heard!!! It made a significant difference but costly... I still get issues big time with the internet.. my son is a big pc gamer and as i do on occasion, we know pc's and internet very well.. gamers use very little amounts of packets to connect and read and write with gaming severs.. you could game on dial up if its good enough.. but our ping is s... Experienced poor internet speeds with WOW. Called and they upped the speed to the fastest for free. Speed got worse. I know my way around a home computer and have no doubt it is an external issue. They went to send out a tech. I just switched to RoadRunner. We shall see. Everyone else's I have used is blazing.

I've had both Comcast and WOW.. Comcast being my only comparison. I have to say WOW is amazing compared to Comcast. My net crashes at least once a month.. but their customer service is amazing. They're way cheaper than Comcast. I had Comcast in college and my net would crash at a minimum once a week lol, and of course I would call and there would be absolutely NOTHING they could do and it was going to COST ME to have them come out and look at it. What a god awful company comcast is. Anyway, I'm actually being forced to switch to Comcast soon as I am moving into a building that has a contract with them. Which is BS! WOW rules, I'm really ticked I have to switch.

I have had Service for both Cable and Internet Service for the last 4 years in Northwest Indiana. I have every service and station they offer. Internet access is expected to top out a 6MBPS. Bull!!! After Multiple calls , they are unable to provide service even close to what they advertise. Look at this link from Speedtest.net http://www.speedtest.net/result/288963438.png It is not my imagination. For my day job, I administer a network with 4500 users, don't tell me to restart my modem and that will solve my issue. I would strongly recommend you choose another service if available. John

Would never go back again!!! Had WOW service several years ago and thought it was great. So now that they offered Phone, Internet and Cable with HD thought I would try them out again. After having it installed, had nothing by problems! HD was very limited compared to both SAT and other Cable - and picture quality was poor at best. Phone service cut in an out. And the DNS for their Internet services are nothing but trouble, not to mention the rerouting of addressed they do not have DNS entries for to a WOW branded series of search engines. Customer support was no better. Was told there were no DNS issues and that they did not reroute anything. That was until I canceled the service and the guy who calls you to try and save the account said... ya we get a lot of that, the Customer support people just do not know how to correct the problems.... Too Late! They also sent a tech out to look a the picture quality on my HD stations which you could see the pixels freezing on the s... Read more

I have Wow high speed, 4mb connection. IT SUCKS. DO NOT GET WOW SERVICE. I REPEAT, DO NOT GET WOW SERVICE. I'm on the east side of columbus, OH. Every time i call them they blame the poor speed on me some how, assuming you can get through to them. The connection typically averages less than 1mb. DO NOT GET WOW, THEY ARE HORRIBLE.

I've been using Wow! cable tv/isp service for around six years now, since then I have referred my family and friends to the service. They provide me as a customer with great support, courteous technical support too! If you're a high bandwidth user like most people these days I'd suggest the 6mbps down stream package with the 1mbps upload. In one sentence... great service for the price and good quality all around.

After having my account for two years, I suddenly can't send e-mail. I call and lo and behold...they assigned my e-mail addresses to someone else in Illinois. Unfrickenbelievable. They also divulged the persons phone number and how long he was with WOW. So I called him and told him how f'd up they were. They have some serious data processing issues at WOW. What were they doing data entering my e-mail addresses into someone else's account? If I didn't hate comcrap so much and I had a choice, I'd dump these people just for my peace of mind. wOW IS A VERY GOOD SERVICE, THE ONLY DRAWBACK I FOUND AFTER USING THEM FOR 2 YEARS IS THEY NEVER GOT MY 'AUTO PAY' GOING. I HAD TO KEEP CALLING EVERY MONTH and I ended up being double billed for 4 months. That is why I went to Comcast for their 6 mos deal ($19.99) But I MAY go back to WOW after that!
