A cutting-edge show that was well ahead of anything on television. It yanked the audience out of their comfort zone and made them think and laugh. A lot of talent was introduced to us on that program. Good stuff.

Jim Carrey as Fire Marshall Bill and Damon Wayans as Homie the Clown were hillarious!

The red headed girl* was brilliant, and the Wayans had us rolling on the floor, but Jim Carey was about as entertaining as Jerry Lewis.*UPDATE:Does anyone know who the red headed girl is/was and/or what happened to her?

Still underrated show that easily surpasses the disappointing Mad TV. Subversive and un-p.c. in ways that Mad has usually failed to be. The "Men on Film" segment with Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather may have been the best regular laugh on TV, and the Farrakhan parody ("The Wrath of Farrahkan" version of Star Trek) was classic. For a while, the Wayans brothers seemed like they could do no wrong....Unfortunately, that's when Bulletproof came out ...

Primetime comedy was never more cutting edge and irreverent than "In Living Color". Keenen Ivory Wayans really knows where the true lines are and has never been afraid to push right up next to them. Of course the skits usually centered around African-American themes, yet the show's audience was multi-racial (evidence a substantial change in race relations). Of the rest of the cast, Jim Carey got his big break on this show, and he carried several recurring sketches. I've also always liked Tommy Davidson and David Alan Grier, though Damon Wayans wasn't always funny in my opinion. Some have commented that the show should have been a full hour; however, I think that the shorter running time kept the comedy fresh and sharper. There were few filler skits, and I don't recall any lingering as they often do on "Saturday Night Live".

A funny, funny show. Loved the Blaine & Antoine skits with the double and triple snaps, and Jim Carrey was brilliant in everything he did.

I got two words for you: Jim Carrey. Alright, I'll elaborate. Fire Marshall Bill and all the other misfits he played were hilarious!

This show was a shot in the arm for prime-time TV back in the day. Wonderful program. I hate it was taken off the air.

This show was great during it's time. I would not watch the re-runs if they came back on however because I don't find that type of humor funny anymore but it was an excellent show featuring a predominately black cast. Damon Wayans and Jim Carrey though, made it. FireMarshall Bill, Homey the Clown...great stuff.

It was one of the funniest & best shows in the 90's. It even shows by the talent that emerged and still exists from the show such as Jamiee Fox, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez, etc.

In its first two to three years, this show was one of a kind terrific...innovative, not afraid to poke fun at all people, black, white, or otherwise. It became a shadow of its former self toward the end, but the great memories shall forever live on in what the show was first like...

I give it 2 snaps in a "z" formation! I looooved Blaine and Twan!!! The Super Bowl show was a CLASSIC! I loved Wanda! I loved the horse-faced Ukranian Women's Olympic weight lifter player by Carrey! The angry, prisoner (who believed himself to be an intellectual), and constantly mispronounced and misused $10 words, as he blasted "the Man"! I used to have them all on videotape! But, my husband said they were recorded badly and reused them!!!!! AGH!!! Homey don't play that!! It was a cutting edge show, not afraid to tell it like it is. Had a white man said some of the things Keenan said, he would have been pulled off the air, fired, and his life threatened! It took guts! I admired everyone on the show. It was ahead of its time, hit the nail on the head, and was beautifully done. And FUNNY!!!!!

This was, and always will be, one of my all-time favorite shows. Because of watching the show, I can say that I knew Jim Carrey way back when. I never thought he would become the star he is today. Lastly, the last season may not have resembled the early years and strayed away from what it originally was about, but it was still good. I hope this show ends up on DVD sometime soon.

It was cancelled at a good time, they were slowly dwindling year by year, especially when Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans left.

This show was sooo funny for about 3 years. It is amazing to see Jim Carrey so young before he became a rich hollywood boor. Wayans brothers were simply hilarious. Good writing, good music, what's not to like?

This show was so funny. The closest thing to a variety show we've had in prime time in years.

Very funny show. This show was definitely more hilarious than today's SNL cast (then again, anything is). A lot of talented comedians (most of them in their prime at this point) were on this show: Jim (or James as on the show) Carey, Daimon & Keenan Ivory Wayans, David Allen Grier, Tommy Davidson, etc. My personal favorite skit was the Dirty Dozens game show (at the height of "put downs'). It's still funny to this day.

was great when Damon, Kenan, and Kim Wayans were on the show. them plus Jim Carrey, Tommy Davidson, David Allen Greer and the Oft forgotten Kelly Coffield, gave SNL a run for it's money in the early 90's. personally i always thought it shouldve been longer than 1/2 hour--seemed to me that when it got cooking it ended.
