Stupidity or naked liberalism...I sometimes get the two confused. Not a reporter.

He hasn't been a reporter for years, and one can argue he wasn't much of one when he was. Now he's just another talk show shill, very similar to all the rest, with even less interview skills than most.

Reporter? If Larry King is a reporter, then Joe Franklin is Edward R. Murrow. In fairness to King, I've never followed his life story-- I know he interviewed people for a radio program in Miami at one time, landed a national radio gig (if I remember right) during the 1980's, and now does it on TV for CNN, but it's hardly what I'd call reporting. Even using the most liberal definition of "reporting", King is a cipher...he asks the most obvious and superficial questions, doesn't seem to get the answers most times, laughs in a transparently fake, gravely manner when appropriate, summons a modicum of enthusiam only when discussing sports or Brooklyn, and seems halfway alert only when interrupting a guest's answer to make sure the timing of that crucial commercial break is rigidly observed. His guests and topics run the gamut from interesting to ridiculous (from Middle-East peace to whether the creepy Octomom has had plastic surgery), but even when they're interesting, you're not going to g... Biased? BIASED!? He's too senile to be biased. He has Jerry Seinfeld as a guest (during the last year of the show) and Jerry had to lead Larry through the most obvious of questions. Larry is a senile old fart who is fifteen years past his prime. Whatever 'bias' he may or may not have pales in comparison to his lack of perception and recognition of the contemporary world and pop culture.

Larry King is WAY past his prime and should retire already. He's extremely biased and is a flaming liberal and from what I've heard him say, is an atheist or agnostic at best, Some of the interviews I've seen him do lately, he just seems lost and confused at times. Btw, nice mugshot.

he is okay at interviewing. but get tired of him having the same old topics. he tends to pick a couple news stories and beats it to death. sometimes if someone interesting is on there i may watch.

If you think this guy asks tough questions, then you don't have a Jewish mother-in-law.  He's a wuss...but that's okay.  Just not for me, because I think media should be our eyes and ears into the crimefest that our government and in particular our executive and legislative branches have become.  Larry does the profession a disservice...unless he denounces himself as a journalist and more rightly accepts the mantle of entertainer.

Great host, good voice, asks the tough questions, yada yada yada.  Let's face it, though: at a certain point, the guests are all that define the show's level of intrigue.  Get rid of these twits like Paris Hilton and quit pandering to the "lowest 25%" auto-demographic-finder!

Larry King is one of the best television reporters via talk show hosts I have ever watched. He is very honest when he conducts his interviews and does not hesitate to put individuals on the spot. He uses his voice for the right reason, but allows others to use their voices, as well. I like him because he challenges skeptics on quite a few wavelengths, hence why he is more than just Larry King, but the king of all reporters. Every time you watch Larry, you always look forward to what he will say (or ask) next and how it will make an impact on society, as a result.

He does get the hot people. What he does with them is not impressive. Not what you'd call probing -- he just gives the person of the moment a forum. Would only watch him if he had someone on I was interested in.

Who says talk show hosts have to humiliate and demean to score ratings..? I think Larry King represents an almost non-existent group that understands that one can have a good informative program, with varying opinions and perspectives, presented with dignity and without attempting to hurt those involved. I really like his show and wish there were more of these and less of the dog eat dog styled ones all aimimg for ratings and not caring about the destruction they leave behind-

Larry King always asks questions I'd like to ask the guest. I think Larry King lives up to what his show is supposed to - a candid chat, not a confrontational expose. I'm glad we have the choice of watching a civil discussion show. There are already too many of the other type of show out there. I think Larry King is just fine.

An old radio guy who still clings to a TV show. Most everybody knows him now that he's been on TV for so long. Just like his show, all you can say is 'Yep, it's Larry King' and that about it. You hope the guest has something to say since he really won't add much.

He would be just ok if he did not have so many fakes like john edward the psychic medium on. It's bad enough to have this guy on but the softballs really fly. Like he believes this crap from this already proved fake. Softballs are what Larry King is all about. That is why so many People go on only his show instead of Lou Dobbs, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Biltzer or near about any other CNN host or even other networks. Don't want to get a follow up question or called on a lie. Go on Larry King.

Larry King is still good, but the last two years have been flat to me. He's gotten a little too tabloidish lately and that detracts from his more upbeat image. I wished he would have interviewed Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson instead of the substitute host--he would have chewed them up about that MTV show, saying it was disgusting or something. He comes from experience and he would give him sound advice on marriage instead of the high life lifestyles they're living now. But that's Larry and he shows class. The last few months, he's followed cases like Kobe Bryant and Scott Peterson and he seems completely lost among the guests. Because Larry is from a different talk era, I don't think he can keep up with these kinds of modern topics well. And he needs new glasses--they're a little too big on TV, something a little more simple. The suspenders (his trademark) have got to go! And he needs a new hairstyle--no more combovers, please! I'm not saying make an extreme makeover for him, ... Read more

Although I rarely agree with Mr King on many issues I am obligated to give him a good rating for the following reason. In my opinion, it was Larry King and Rush Limbaugh who saved AM radio and gave it new life. As the popularity of FM grew in the 1970s, FM receivers became less expensive and the sound quality was always superior to AM. Automobiles were being equipped with AM / FM radios in increasing numbers and it was becoming clear that FM would be the venue for broadcast music. By the early 1980s a great number of AM stations had abandoned their musical format. Some AM stations still continued to play music, but with only a few exceptions, they were continuing to lose market share to their FM counterparts. In the mid 1980s attempts were made to upgrade the quality of AM as some stations began broadcasting in AM stereo, however, even with the improvement in sound quality there were relatively few AM stereo receivers and the signal still suffered from the noise and interference proble...
