We hired America's Moving Services to move our furniture from San Diego, CA to Omaha, NE in late 2007 and had a not so great move through them. The "agent" that they contracted to was subpar to say the least and our delivery was extended to more than 2 and a half weeks when it was supposed to be around 7 days. There were not many damages but the first move through them was very stressful, starting new jobs without any of our belongings. During the process we dealt with several key people within the company but most of our correspondence was with Eric Snijders who obviously defended his company and at times was difficult to deal with. In the end they wound up compensating us for lost days and we came up with a fair compensation amount. Oddly enough, when we starting searching for moving companies for our recent move, we found America's Moving Services to be at the top of many lists and they had maintained great standing with their local BBB and figured they changed many things about the... My experience with America’s Moving Services was completely disappointing at every stage of the moving process. The company was very friendly communicative at the beginning of the process, making promises that they would do everything they could to accommodate my schedule. This ended quickly once my moving date approached. They would not tell me when the moving truck was arriving until about 12 hours before it arrived. When it did arrive, the movers took over ten hours to move a small one-bedroom apartment (they took very frequent breaks). I was then told that the movers would arrive on that Monday, so I booked my plane ticket and arrived Monday morning. When the movers did not show up, I called AMS and they told me that the movers wouldn’t be there until Wednesday. When Wednesday came and went, AMS revised the arrival date to Friday, which then turned into Saturday. America's Moving Services moved our family from San Francisco, CA to Charlotte, NC last month. We were very worried about getting our stuff delivered before Thanksgiving, so we made that very clear to our rep at AMS. He explained that while he couldn't guarantee a delivery date, he would help out as much as possible with recommending a pickup window, etc. We ended up getting our shipment delivered 10 days after pickup, which was right in the middle of where we were being estimated. We were able to get settled in with plenty of time to enjoy Thanksgiving two days later. I cannot stress enough how wonderful everyone was at the office and in our home. Every part of our move was great. All of our furniture was wrapped very carefully. We'll be relocating again in a year and we plan on using America's Moving Services again for part two. Simply amazing!

had a great move with americas movers services last week. I was supposed to be picked up by another moving company but they never showed up on the moving dates and after calling them several times to try to recoup my deposit I started calling other companies and searching the internet for movers and I found this website and americas movers and booked a move with them. their price was definately not the cheapest but it seemed fair and they looked and sounded to be very reputable. They showed up in the morning after I booked their service and were excellent. Nathan was a gem and they did exactly what was promised and the only variable in the price was $150.00 they charged me because it was about 300 feet from where the truck had to park to where my door was and they called that a long carry. I would be happy to use this company again and hope that others take the time to do their research as I should ahve done from the start.

We were absolutely amazed with America's Moving Services and their movers. Eric Witteborg was a pleasure to deal with through the reservation process and the movers they sent, Nathan, Wesley and Matthew were incredibly nice, efficient and exactly what we expected from professional movers. My sister used them, her friend had used them and now we used them and are just as thrilled as they were with them. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone we know and would for sure use them again personally if we ever decide to move in the future.

I moved with America's Moving Services from Virginia to Columbia, SC, and these guys were awesome. The two men that showed up at our home were extremely friendly and professional, and really helped ease our moving stresses. Two days after loading everything arrived just as we were told. After inspecting everything after the move, we did not have any damages other than one of our glasses, but it was in a box we packed. The office staff communicated with us the entire time and handled direct billing with my company. This was the best move I've ever had. I will definitely be referring them to all of my friends and coworkers, and anyone else that may be reading this!

We moved recently from Salt Lake City to Atlanta and had the best and most professional relocation we have ever had. The driver Ian and his partner Tommy were nothing short of professional and 2 of the most polite good spirited gentlemen we have ever had move us. The pricing was high up front but considerably less then the alternative. We were quoted $6,300 for the move and packing and the end price was $300 less which worked well because we tipped both of them the balance. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

I have moved all over the world, including to and from Russia and two African countries, and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. First, I requested and was charged for special packing for some valuable (and sentimental) model boats. The packers arrived with no special packing and knew nothing about the model boats. They did not obtain any special packing, but said they would give the boats special attention. All of the boats arrived extensively damaged. The largest and most valuable was not even in a box, simply wrapped in brown paper and not labeled. The final delivery crew carried boxes upside down, paid no attention to 'fragile" markings, or indeed to any of the markings on the boxes. One of them reeked of alcohol and appeared to have been picked up off the street. Other damages included fragile items from dishes to terracotta statues, pictures and picture frames, a treadmill. Our first move from Pennsylvania out to Utah was a complete disaster and we paid almost double what we paid for this move. The first move was through United Van Lines and there were so many broken and damaged items it was disgusting. Our items showed up dirty, cracked, chipped and just plain destroyed. This move was a business move and as much as we didn't want a moving company to move us, we had no choice due to the amount of items we had. It took us 2 long labor filled months reviewing and speaking with companies until we made our final decision to move with Americas Moving. Best part first, our quote was $12,300 for everything and our final total was $10,276.00 and after tipping Tim and the crew another $1000.00 it came to just over $11,000, $1,300 less then the quote. I found this company while I was gathering online quotes and after going through all the crappy moving companies and a few good ones I chose americas moving services for all of their loyal customer reviews on various sites. I have since posted on a few sites because my sales rep chris asked me to post my experience and my experience was super. Very happy to have found americas moving and will let everyone I know how good and reliable they were for me and hopefully anyone that I suggest uses them and has an equally positive experience as well.

I would like to thank America's Moving Services for moving my mom last week. She's an elderly lady and needed this to be a smooth transition. I was there to help supervise, because I was sure that my help would be needed. I was wrong. The crew took care of the furniture, making sure nothing got scratched on the truck. The also packed three extra boxes without charging (which isn't much, but I was impressed/shocked). At delivery, they got everything unloaded in just a couple of hours, and put everything where we wanted it. I would definitely recommend America's Moving Services to anyone looking for a reputable moving company to help move long distance. I was so worried about hiring a moving company because of the horror stories that I've read and heard about, but this really was a great experience.
