Stopped on a Monday night. The place wasn't too busy but had a great atmosphere. Not too ritzy but not a dump either, great place to relax and have a martini and listen to great music. I hope to see better bands occaisonally on the weekends but great acoustic and electric rock. Highly recomend!

I went to Blondies a few times several years ago, and went back this weekend. I was surprised how little it has changed, and that's the best news. I have never had anything less than a great time at Blondies. The DJ is always spinning something fun to dance to. The bar was crowded, and my slim cosmo was a hefty $11, but unlike most bars I got a refill pint along with my martini glass, so it was like two drinks in one. The crowd is young and cheerful and determined to have a good time. The staff is friendly, the bouncers are quick to act on any disputes, and the cover is a modest $5. It's not too posh and it's not too skanky - a nice comfortable let-your-hair-down let's-groove-tonight place.

With the good looking group of City hipsters hanging in and out of Blondies you know you're a cool place. The beat of the music, if you don't sway and hop right into the action, go have a drink or two - you'll dance in the crazy mix. Girls' night out, Oh yeah! Take your muddah! She be cool especially after a smooth martini takes her back to "the day."

I?m a Dane who was going for dinner with some friends in a nearby restaurant, but they were late, so I decided to give my throat some liquid in the meantime. I passed Blondie?s Bar & Grill, and when I looked in, I liked what I saw. When going in, I was met by an extremely friendly bartender, who at all time was aware of my half empty or half full glass? All in all, Blondie?s has a great atmosphere and the prices are reasonable with a very good service. Having been to a lot of bar?s here in Denmark, I?m glad I didn?t pass Blondie?s and will definitely be back if possible?

This place rocks. I have been there a few times and the last time was for Halloween and let me tell you this place was rocking. The drinks were good, fair price and the ambience is always great. I would recommend this place to everyone. Will definitely be back.

Very crowded on the weekends. Don't bother trying to get into the cramped smoking lounge/front deck. If you're not there by 9 you'll never get a convienent drag. Drinks are the standrad fare. So is everything else.

I don't go out in this neighbordhood too often but when I do we almost always end up here at some point in the night. I've been here when there's a band and also when it's just low key and empty and it's always fun. The cover's not too much and if you're able to get there early you can avoid it all together. The service is good and it's a nice atmosphere.

I went to Blondie's for the first time about a year and a half ago on a first date. I have to admit that at first I was a little unsure, but once we got in there and I heard the music and saw the dance floor I was hooked! Needless to say this was not intended to be an intimate first date, and if intimacy is what you're looking for you've picked the wrong bar. But if you're looking to dance, laugh, and just let yourself have a great time this is the spot! Since that first visit I have been back several times (I found that it's even better without a date), and I have to say that I have never been disappointed. I was just there about a week ago and as always the energy from the crowd and the music was amazing. It's a great place to go hang out with good friends and meet new ones. The martini's are good, and they don't make a bad margarita either! I love the crowd, the atomosphere, and the music. Bottom line, Blondie's is a great little spot!

A few months back a my friends and I went to Blondies for drinks. First we had to pay a $3.00 cover charge. The bar was over crowded and expensive. We sat down at the bar to order drinks. After we paid for our drinks the owner came over to us and Rudely asked one of the guys in our group to take off his hat. I guess there is a no hat policy at this bar, but the door guy Never told us this. The Owner of the bar is the most unfriendly woman I have ever encountered and has no interest in pleasing her customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She told us that "she doubted the door guy never told us about the no hat policy" and if we were unhappy and wanted a refund, that we could put down the drinks we were drinking and get a refund and leave.

The drinks may be good but you will have to work to get one. We went in early when there was just four of us at the bar. The bartender continued his conversation with a patron for 15 minutes while we stared at the bottles. Being a Mission resident for 5 years I can tell you that this is more the Marina/Union type than Mission Hipster crowd. This is definitely a see and be seen location. I agree with others that this can be a serious dude fest. Blondies, Skylark, and Cassanova are the three more yuppie locations in the Mission and guys come looking for women. Parking is tough. On busy nights you find the German cars being towed from the middle lane. Park at the Hoff garage!

Let me tell you, the martini's were awesome, music was cool, crowd was comfortable...but the BARTENDER.!! Whew! The martini w/ the chocolate kiss was delicious! stuff dreams R made of.. speciality.. classic ...trendy... martinis in an atmosphere reminiscent of a speakeasy. hip & cool crowd can be heard behind a background of jazz, blues & old standards. The owner, a gorgeous blond, built like a buick, with those American thighs AC/DC wrote about chats it up with regulars and passers by. Let us not forget to mention the double martinis. All the martinis are doubles. Heaven should be so nice. August 22, 2005 Martini's in a Pint Glass and PBR in a can By mister650 Do you really need anything else? This place is dark, the drinks are strong and the price is nice. If you need to eat hit Ramblas right across the way for some Tapas first.

OH please what are you talking about rude bartenders and weak drinks ya must be a major alchy not to get a buzz from 1! of the Martini's here (which is really three). As a native SF-er, I find the service to be just fine, the music fun and the crowd diverse. So, I agree, batting your baby blues, flashing your designer attire, and demanding instant attention will not get you closer to the bar, but that is what I love about this place it is one of the only real san francisco bars left in the city not catering to self indulged , the world owes me, "trendy" brats.

The bar and crowd are no different than many in the Mission, as it has the same grimy, edgy feel. My 3 is reflective solely of the DJ on Friday night, as he spun records like no other in the city.

I went to Blondie's on a saturday night with friends without any expectations and had a great time! the best part about our night was that the music was AWESOME. The DJ spun all the newest and most happening hip-hop beats and had the crowd all over the dance floor. Hopefully, our experience on that night with the music won't be an isolated incident! The look of the place is on the grungier side but i think it fits in with the overall atmosphere (put it this way, i'm used to partying in cleaner looking places but totally didn't mind it here). The drinks and service were definitely accetable. The only downside to Blondie's is that it closes around 1:40am on Saturdays when I think most ppl would like to see it open until 3-4. Go and see for yourself!

My friends and I went to Blondie's last night and had a great time! Great music, fast service (and none of that "because you're a girl I'm not going to serve you" attitude that I encounter at so many other bars!) My only complaint at first was paying $11.00 for a martini... but I was dumb and didn't realize that you get the whole pint glass! I couldn't believe it. I would have to say it was the best Goose marti I have EVER had and for sure the best value. I will definitely be going back. Oh, and if you people at Blondie's ever read these; thank you so much for taking the time to help my friend find her keys!! Thanks for a great Friday night!

How can this place be rated "9.9" in "See & Be Scene", & "Bartenders"?!? We went there last night and yeah, the place was busy - but it was an absolute dude fest, frat house! The bartender (presumably Blondie) was too occupied with changing cd's and showing off to serve us any drinks!

It's hard to believe this place is voted as "best bartenders" - there were two bartenders and one was too busy to serve us and the other said he couldn't help us because it wasn't "his" side of the bar! Yes, the place gets packed but the service needs some attention.

Dark walls, banquettes and streetside seating are the perfect setting for the bar's signature drink: the martini. During the week, live jazz and blues lure Mission locals who are more hepcat than hipster, while the weekend's hip hop DJ's attract a bridge-and-tunnel crowd. A seemingly endless martini menu would take a even a serious drinker days to explore, with choices ranging from chocolate mint to a standard gin 'tini with spicy sausage and blue cheese garnish. Thankfully, exotic choices don't mean small servings (each drink is a tall 16 ounces), though no matter how sloppy you get your cocktail is made carefully and served properly.

THE GOOD: Huge, cheap drinks (you get the tumbler your drink was mixed in with extra drink in it for the price of just a drink), lively tunes, chicks come to get their groove on (popular bachelorette party destination); THE BAD: Crowded, low end crowd (pseudo wanna-be gangstas),music deteriorates from 80's dance to worse crap as the night gets later; THE UGLY: Just not any fun if you are older than about 28.

Gone to Blondies a lot over the last couple of years and keep going b/c I always enjoy myself. No other place gives you so much booze for so little. Their giant sized cocktails are like 2 1/2 to 1. During the week it's mellow but the atmosphere is always welcoming. The dog (dagwood I think is her name) makes you feel like you're hanging out at your friends house. Cool dog! Blondies on weekend nights transforms into a high energy fun dance place. Most of the time it seems like a good mix of people but sometimes it feels like they're all marina types. Nothing wrong with that I guess but I like to mix it up and not see khaki's on ALL the men. On my birthday they made me get on the bar and dance. It was actually a lot of fun. Cool place. Cheers Blondies!

We have many choices that we can head out to but Blondies is one that takes the cake! This is a great little place where people go to meet and have a good time. The drinks are pored by staff that really enjoys what they are doing and are into their work. Great cocktails are sure to please, the selection of premium quality drinks in the hands of trained experts is a welcome change from the marina bar tenders that cant read a bar tenders bible! Hell there even dancing along with the crowd! As for the clientele they are always smiling and dancing to great music, some new some of the classics but every tune will get you moving on the dance floor. Get there early so you can get a good place on the dance floor. Blondies is a popular nightspot that knows how to treat its guests!

The people working at this place are RUDE and have bad attitudes. This bar is so crowded that it takes over 20 minutes to order a drink. And when you finally get waited on the bar tenders are rude and give bad service. Unless they fired everyone, I will never go back!

I have gone to hang out here a few times and have never had a good experience. The only reason I have returned is for the large drinks and the cover $2. But with a cheap cover charge you get for what you pay for.The place gets so crowded you can hardly walk through or dance without getting pushed all over the place. And the worst thing about it is the STAFF. They are rude as can be. Has to be the worst service I have ever received. I don't care how big the drinks are or how cheap it is, I will never go back there again. And I suggest you don't either unless you like to pushed around and treated really BAD.

Went to blondie's after 1.5 yrs, now I'm sure that I'm not going back ever! The place smells like a big toilet and the bouncers are rude and clueless, after all we (the customers) pay their salary. Don't waste your money. Cover fee $2 is nothing, but we're paying for what?? (definitely not for cleaning)

My Friends and I went to Blondies looking for a good time. Not only did we have a great time and dance the night away but meet Blondie herself. Some people say it takes time to get drinks but, Let my tell you they are well worth it! They have to be by far the best Drinks I have had so far in the city. It's well worth a little bit of wait and a good bang for the buck. Blondies is a great time!!!!

I love Blondie's Bar!!! I can't praise the joint or the awesome female bartender enough:). She rocks, and so do her drinks. It's the kind of place where you can be anyone you want to be whether that's someone who hangs out by the bar, dances, or both. Oh yeah, the music is ecclectic and GOOD. Frisco has many great night spots, but Blondie's is one of the best - and that ain't no lie!

Blondie's was one of the 1st bars I went to when I first moved to SF. They made me feel right at home! It's family owned and operated which gives it that little bit of extra something. Blondies' dog, the famous German Sheperd is awesome!! The drinks are huge, pint sized, tasty treats! Perfect for after work, or sunny lazy Sundays. Blondie's gets four **** stars!

I've been going to Blondie's for over 7 years and have seen it go froma neighborhood bar with live jazz and blues to a destination bar, crowded with good looking people from the Mission and beyond, especially Thursday through Saturday. It is still a great locals bar, though especially on weeknights or after work. Great variety of martinis and the portions are definately a great value. Also a plus is the outdoor patio for people watching or legal smoking.

BLONDIE'S OUTDOOR PATIO IS BEST!!! I love to go to Blondie's Bar on Sunday afternoons and sit on the front patio. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the bartender is very pleasant and makes great cocktails. Lately I have stayed for the BBQ, which seems to be a family affair; Lots of barstaff, their family, and Blondie's regulars just having fun. Good music, too!

Considering I spent a full month in San Francisco and hung out at the bar quite a bit, IT'S AWESOME<~~~* that's for two hot bartenders, the blonde and the brunette. Yes, blondie did start bar dance wayyyyy before that lame bar movie came out, Coyote Ugly. I'd have to say that Terri is a great security guard just don't give Al a hard time. The bar backs are even cool enough to chill and talk to, just once and a while though. haha. Overall Blondie's is one in a million kind of bars.

Overpriced martinis, and bouncers who think they own the world. I saw about six different people get aggressively approached by the staff - are these guys on steroids or just plain annoying? This place is on the fast track to becoming the worst joint in the district. Buyer beware, friends. You're better off at other places in the mission. Disbelieve at your own risk. -King

I live in the Mission, have enjoyed blondies every single time and have never had a negative experience there- The staff has always been pleasant, entertaining, and the bartenders make great drinks. As for the crowd? I have met some really interesting people there. It can get a little crazy on the week-ends, but name one bar/club/restaurant in the city that isn't crowded! If you are looking for no crowds, try going during the week days, go to Burlingame to some obscure bar where there is no atmosphere, or stay at home with yourself and a bottle! If you don't like this place? don't go! That will just make more room for those of us who do like it!
