Chiquita Banana would get rid of the melancholy humors in your body. I love them in cereals, and my plus sized Persian can deep-throat a banana in a matter of minutes.

Ah, yes. The Cavendish. This is the banana that replaced the legendary Gros Michel banana in the early 60s when the Gros Michel was wiped out by a nasty fungus called Panama Disease. Unfortunately, a strain of Panama Disease is now wiping out the Cavendish. Yes, we might have no more bananas.

Definitely not a favorite, but I do eat them once in a while. They're very high in potassium.

I've always felt good about the fact that bananas are high in potasium, but I don't really know why that makes me feel so good.

As long as its not over-ripe, a banana is a big favorite of mine. High in potassium too. I'll also mention the attendant benefit of watching a woman eat one...

I'm not a huge banana fan....but I eat about a bunch a week. Bananas have a lot of potassium, and are good for you. It always seems to be the most plentiful and affordable fruit at the supermarket.

Great fruit. Releases energy very slowly. The inside of the banana skin is good for mosquito bites. Used to have one every morning, but I got fed up of them. Ok. That sounded very sexual.

Very good fruit; lots of needed potassium, fiber and is not greasy. the teaste from a fresh one can never be duplicated. I would never believe that someone withdrawing or creating isobutyl aceteate from banana and putting it in their product would give the same great taste, even when one has ever tried Banana (Nes)Quik in their milk. The only problem is that if one does eat the fruit, it should be well away from mosquitoes- I read that there is a cerain chemical in them that attracts more of these vampires to you after you eat them (and I used to live in South Florida.)

I can remember loving bananas and anything banana flavored as a child and then I began playing football. During football camps and for pregame meals my coaches always made bananas a staple of our diet. For some reason, after three-a-day practices in sweltering heat and eating tons of bananas I began to associate them with the mixed effects of too much fruit and too many wind sprints (not a good combo). Thankully my love has returned for this fruit and one of the greatest southern traditions Banana Pudding.

Personally, I crave fruits because of their refreshing tastes, but bananas don't have enough juice to be refreshing, so normally I only eat bananas when I'm actually hungry. However, adding a banana to a drink like smoothies add that extra richness in texture and in flavour. The news showed that the Japanese have been going crazy on bananas because one of their pop stars has testified to get good weight loss results from eating bananas every morning. The demand of bananas in Japan has since sky-rocketed, and I'm sure the price has too.

Not all that tasty, but you can't beat the convenience; it comes in an easy-to-remove wrapper so you don't have to worry about washing it. Also, the serving size is pretty good. Finally, the bang for the buck (<$.50/pound on a good day) is unbeatable.

Wonderfully sweet with firm and creamy flesh, bananas come prepackaged in their own yellow jackets and are available for harvest throughout the year.
