Should be called the Faux Comedy Channel! Has any channel be more blatantly against the Obama adminstration? I truly believe if it wasn't for this channel, we would not hear of the violence or "Tea Parties" SICK way to make a buck, by inciting violence

try to keep up with current affairs. So I listen to several news channels. Among all I am very disappointed with Sean Hannity, Glen Beck then Bill O'really of Fox Channel. These individuals neither have integrity nor substance in their deliberations. They keep on claiming how rating of Fox is high, seems like they need to reassure themselves all the time rather than the audience. Because of this I lost complete respect for Fox channel, I will not be surprised if it gets voted the worst TV channel in the country. I find Fox Channel very low and cheap compare to CNN, MSNBC, CBS stations. It's so painful they bring equally worse people on their discussion, oh my, even Abe Lincoln will turn away in his grave. I never thought Republicans or conservatives including their mouth piece will stoop so low, it's disgustingly petty, jesus, what a shame for America and Americans to have such dishonest and indecent media house or Republican political party. We must do everything in our power to leave... Read more

Fox News Channel is nothing more than extreme right wing propaganda. Dangerous entertainment at it's worst. Misinformation, deliberate lies, religious kooks, take your pick of reasons that this channel bites the big one. It's channels like this one that cause incidents like the George Tiller murder.

I like Fox News Channel, but not perfect.  I really wish Fox should be decided to be independently from owned by News Corporation, that why I hates News Corporation and Rupert Murdoch.

I get all my news from the internet anymore since there are sources that just tell you what happened or what was said without an opinion on what it means. As to the job they do at Fox, I'd call them on par with CNN since both have an agenda at work and a definite cut above the ridiculousness that is MSNBC. Now in the context of TV channels I'm going to give them a two since I have little use for them and would much rather watch something else, plus you can get better commentary here on RIA anyways.

It's a NEWS CHANNEL!! If the liberal water-carriers were less defensive about the bias so well documented on the other channels, they could analyze Fox in its proper perspective instead of focusing exclusively on its ideological schism from everything else available on this dying medium. From the hatred-filled accusation posts to Lena's pretzel-twisting diatribe about ratings and how you really need to read them, a change is taking place and the takeover of the US federal government by radical left-wingers who have a very questionable way of looking at the role of the "choice" of Americans' lives (other than pregnant women) and the press has a role to play that ONLY Fox is stepping up to. They call it the "Fourth Estate. " The free and unfettered press is a part of the system of checks and balances, part of the design of our form of government. It is gone. If the Obama administration has an enemies list, who on FoxNews is not on it? Who on CNN IS on it? Anybody at ABC, whom... Read more

Broke the corporate centrist media monopoly by featuring extreme right-wing propaganda  disguised as 'news'.I'd have no problem with this situation if there was a similar outlet for the opinions of the left, but unfortunately there isn't.

The devoted fans of Fox News often optimistically refer to Nielsen Ratings as an indication that they're part of a vast silent majority in the struggle towards an America that thrives on radical, right-wing values. Comforting, perhaps, but far from accurate given a cursory knowledge of statistics or an understanding of how media is digested today and moving forward. To address Nielsen first, the particular "points" or "share" rating system where Fox News beats out CNN (used for the sake of example because this is the network that Fox News loves to claim victory over) is a calculation of average viewership per minute. This means that people watching for a longer duration over the course of any given day get counted numerous times. CNN trounces Fox News in cumulative unique viewership (which is a figure that describes how many different people tune into a station daily). This latter figure is increasingly used to determine the cost to displayed an ad on television because it's a better ... Read more

Murdoch, The australian who owns this filthy faux news station, couldn't careless if you hate gays or if you cried of anger when a black man became president. He's comforting the dumbest of us in their racist positions, racking up as low as possible and so, attracting all the barn animals in his "slaughterhouse for intelligent thoughts"....If he thought he could make more money with a more central or left wing stance, he'd do it...There's just too many dumb sheeps out here...Heee-haw!

I tend to like news channels that are moderate and unbiased, and this one seems to be too far right. Besides, their weekend shows are a bit too giddy -- having a little fun is one thing, but in my opinion they carry things a bit too far. One thing that I really did get a kick out of (when I watched it) was the way they spelled Osama (Bin Laden), which was Usama. That never fails to bring somewhat of a smile to my face whenever I think of it. Perhaps he doesn't deserve to have his name spelled right. I guess this one minor thing was the high point of the entire channel.

I guess I'm just used to expecting a certain demeanor from the people who deliver my news.  But it's different on this channel.  I'm especially puzzled by Shepard Smith.  He's terribly unprofessional and looks at the camera as if he's peering into his own personal bathroom mirror, talking to himself and adding unecessary personal opinions and anectodes throughout his newscast.  It's pretty bizarre, as is this news channel in general.

Try This Experiment: Ask an older person if they voted for Richard Nixon, whether they did or didn't, they'll almost certainly say that they DID NOT. Well, logic and reality indicates that SOMEBODY must have voted for him! Most humans just don't like to admit that were ever stupid or conned into trading the family cow for a big ol' bag of magic beans. Right-wing humans just WON'T ever admit that they were wrong.Same phenomenon, same paradigm:The increased number of broadband internet connections will eventually kill FOX News and embarrass the hell out of everyone who ever argued that it was "FaIr & BaLaNcEd"! If you have kids, and you watch FOX News Network, chances are that your kids won't invite their friends over to your house. They want to avoid the embarrassment of their friends knowing that you're a moron. I bet that you couldn't find the documentary movie "Outfoxed" at your local video rental store, even if your life depended on it!Have you ever TRIED  to find it? I did. It was ... Read more

The phrase "fair and balanced" is a marketing phrase and an insult to the viewer. The so-called news on fox is filtered through the atheistic, ignorant opinions of the reporters. Example: Reporter Sheperd mentions 2 or 3 news stories and then says, "now you know the news." Ridiculous. Or Brit Hume says, "the most trusted news on TV," What? Fox is not as "bad" as other news programs but it sure ain't fair and balanced.

Undoubtedly the most biased network on TV. The propaganda that so closely resembles the Bush administration's policies would be laughable if it were not for so many people beleiving what they report as fact. That bit where the reporter voluntarily subjected himself to water boarding, panicked as soon as it began and then calmy proceeded to endorse it as a good method of interrogation was very enlightening. I disagree with the idea that every network has a bias and you should just let everyone know about it up front. I think it is possible to report news in an objective manner regardless of one's political point of view and I think there are networks that basically hold true to this. It could very well be that a majority of journalists lean to the political left. Does that mean they report the news that way? By the way, how is adopting the "Fair and Balanced" slogan admitting they have a certain bias? Sounds to me like they are trying to hammer into people minds that they are object... Read more

Mr.Political said it well,as did magellan and a few others. This network gets raked over the coals for a bias. And yet the liberal stations do not.One of the reviewers mentioned "..Walter Cronkite's courageous stand against the neo con driven Vietnam War..."Aside from the fact that it was DEMOCRATS that escalated the war(and Roosevelt indirectly started it...another reason why he was full of s---) who died and made Cronkite the arbiter of what was right and wrong? Also, did you know that Cronkite supported RFK's run for the White House in 1968and promised to do everything he could to help RFK?I did not know that until I read it.Now I can just see liberals saying "Well, gee whiz,Limbaugh,Hannity, etc are always boosting W".True.The difference:LIMBAUGH,HANNITY et al DO NOT PRETEND TO BE UNBIASED.They tell you up front that they have a point of view.Whereas,Cronkite and the like always DENIED that they were biased and led us to believe that they told it like it was.Guess what?NO ONE really tell... Unlike other more liberal reviewers, I cannot give Fox News one star simply because its broadcats lean too far to the right. It would be nice if Fox News admitted that they, too, had a bias - just like everyone else. I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If Fox News wants to be the "conservative news channel", that's fine with me. Personally, however, I'd prefer a more centrist take on current events.

When it comes to "breaking stories", I watch Fox News for the clarity.....picture clarity, that is (they have the least amount of on-screen graphics overlay of any of the other channels). After I've had my fill and gotten the gist, it's back to anything BUT Fox News. What passes for "news" has always been dismal, and Fox douses itself in steak sauce and hurtles buttcheeks-first into a wolfpack format that can best be described as "mutually destructive". The only thing "fair and balanced" ever accomplished was polarization (in that respect, Murdoch's baby can be deemed a rousing success). EVERY outlet is painfully scrutinized and edited to the point where only 60% of the vital information becomes known (another 30% shows up later through the incidental and accidental, and the last 10% dies alone and forgotten), so what's a person to do? Watch what's being DONE (instead of what's being SAID), form your own opinions, and place your energies into like-minded concerns. It's a big world, and... Read more

Sure, this is about as comfortable as you can get if you don't want to listen to the lefty news reports on all the other channels...but I continually see FoxNews swaying more to the left as time goes on and it is really getting to me. Even O'Reilly is becoming a leftist...simply using his time to sensationalize and garner ratings points. FoxNews is not nearly as conservative as people think it is.
