01/18/2006 | Terrific player, no brainer as one of the very, very best ever ..easily a top 3 guy, probably at 2. Fast, won 3 batting titles, very good power, a hustling player on the basepaths. Were it not for Schmidt, we'd be talking about this fellow as the best all around 3b in the history of the major leagues.

02/09/2005 | In deciding who the greatest hot corner man in history is, the only one who comes close to Schmidt is this guy. Over 21 years he belted 317 homers, drove inn 1595 and hit .305. One of the most balanced offensive players, Brett, like Schmidt was the heart and soul of his team throughout most of his career.
