The consensus in our Christian Men's home is that Bishop McClendon should not appear on the reality show "Pastors of L.A." along with the other Pastors. Most of us in this place have made our share of mistakes which is why we are in a group home for recovering addicts but when Christ changes your life you are a new person with the grace to live for God. This is not a put down of the Pastors who will be appearing on this reality show week after next but how could there be any good from being cast on a secular reality television show? Don't give us that "Touch not the Lord's anointed" as if telling the truth is touching the Lord's anointed. No one is touching (slandering) the Lord's anointed! I don't buy the fact that McClendon is the Lord's anointed!!!! These Pastors who signed up to be cast on this reality television show will do themselves in by looking like greedy, self centered, materialistic mammon (money) chasers. They may in essence do themselves in by showing their pr... Read more

I had to ask the good Lord to forgive me because I watched the advertisement for the show Pastors of L.A. on NightLine last week and one of the other Pastors on this show Detrick Haddon was setting Clarence straight in a verbal feud. I confess wishing Pastor Haddon had socked McClendon in the mouth, especially for how Clarence McClendon divorced his first wife then promptly married a younger woman then their baby followed but then I asked the Lord to forgive me and will have to do what the Bible says and pray for this creep. One good thing may come out of the soon to air Pastors of LA show, we can see what really goes on behind the scenes in these rich preachers lives, but some robots will still make an excuse for them and highly exalt them just because they can act, I mean preach.

The difference in Bishop Clarence McClendon and Preacher Deitrick Haddon is McClendon went on like nothing ever happened after his baby mama drama and divorce, no explanation or apology given as much as I could tell. Pastor Deitrick Haddon seemed very remorseful and gave a public apology then stepped down for a while. Both are starring on Pastor's of Los Angeles (LA) soon to come out. Both behaved according to the Ad for this show like they loathe-dislike one another. What if the ex-wives chime in, the ex-wives of Bishop Noel Jones, Haddon and McClendon? The first wives club can go at it with the current ones and Jones who is single younger girl-friend. This will make for great reality television just like the other controversial reality shows that make for great drama as usual. It is very good to show that wealthy famous Pastors are people too. Can't knock their hustle. Don't hate them because they are rich. Haters get your own hustle and don't hate, appreciate. Black men workin... Read more

I could not believe the segment that aired about this Pastor when Nightline featured the Reality Show called Pastors of LA -Los Angeles, soon to air Oct. 9. 2013. Nightline showed the trailer (scene on the upcoming Reality TV show Pastors of LA (it is about Millionaire Pastors flaunting their Mansions and fancy cars ). This show is going to blow the lid off of what goes on behind the scenes of these rich Pastors lives and I'd venture a guess it will not be a pretty sight if the trailers are any indication of what is to come. Bishop McClendon had an entourage of men catering to him and carrying his Bible and briefcase as if he was God in the flesh. He even got into a big argument with another Preacher over this. It was just a disgrace. I hope Producers of the show will have the good sense to take this out and not air that portion of two preachers verbally bashing each other. I had to side with the other preacher. I cannot stand to watch McClendon for any length of time withou... Read more

What is wrong with Bishop McClendon hiring a team of men to assist him? Stupids are complaining about black men out of work and then bash the man for hiring a team of black men to assist his busy schedule. Shut the heck up and mind your business!!! He is giving these young men jobs Just shut up u godless haters! Hope you choke as you run your mouth on these preachers. So I'm not there yet but if you are so holy then ask Jesus to help me (and them) but Pharisees will just verbally stone people like the rats you are rather than fix your own lives. Bshop McClendon is generous and teaches to share wealth with the poor. One sermon a few years ago Bishop McClendon had everyone come down his Pulpit (altar) that owned Apartments then he appealed to them to help those that needed housing at the Bishop's urging and they did. Homeless members in the church got places to stay that very day! I have never seen that done anywhere in any church! He has prayed for people and it was documented they... Read more

He is a frequent guest speaker on TBN's praise-a-thons. His message is sowing seeds of faith for what you are believing God for. Who follows up to see if people that are sowing faith seeds of money are being granted their request from God? It could be that the Lord had a blessing with your name on it regardless of if you sent TBN money or not. The pathetic thing about the Gospel of Prosperity and having to pay God for his help is when it becames a bribe, an extortion or threat of a curse if you don't pay God. God is faithful and good, to teach otherwise is an assault on God's character. Jesus his grace has paid for our help. I could not believe God would be anything but faithful. If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 2nd Timothy 2:13

"Let him who has no sin be the first to cast a stone." That is what Jesus said to the people who came to him accusing and threatening to stone to death a certain woman who they had caught red handed in the act of adultery. No one was able to rise to that challenge. They all turned away and left the woman in Jesus' presence. Christ said to her, "Go and sin no more." The bible in the book of Romans reminds us "For ALL HAVE SINNED and fallen short of the glory of God." The magnitude of Bishop Clarence McClendon's sins, my sins and even your sins is the same in God's eyes. The punishment for this sinfulness is equal - death for all unrepentant sinners. The remission for this sinfulness is the same for Bishop Clarence McClendon, myself and you too according to John 3:16(b), "...so that WHOSOEVER believes in Him (Christ) will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:17 states that "for Christ did not come into the world to condemn the world but so that the world through Him might be sav... Read more

A cruel joke & plight on the Body of Christ whom God will expose (to gullible sheep) as a fraud at his appointed time. Bishop McClendon looks like a young Rev. Ike and some think he is a carbon copy. He thinks he has deeper bible revelation, more so than the hand-picked Disciples in Jesus day. He twists parts of the Gospel into another Gospel and it mostly ends in sowing a (money) seed and guess who you are supposed to sow it to??? People need to start questioning Preachers and if that had been done who would not had a Jim Jones and Ghana in Central America.

Last week MCClendon was featured on a Benny Hinn program promoting Old Covenant Tithing as still a law in which New Covenant, New Testament Believers in the Body of Christ must obey for "THE BLESSING" to come upon them. McClendon erroneously declared that Tithing was necessary to bring "THE BLESSING" from God. Someone should tell him that the finished work of Christ on the Cross has replaced Tithing / Old Covenant law and Old Testament Observances. Our favor (Unmerited) is now by faith the finished work of Christ! If you have ever gotten a bill for a debt that said "It is finished" translated as "Paid in Full," this was an indication that there was no remaining balance left. When Jesus said "It is Finished (In Modern Bible translations: It is Accomplished") that means Jesus fulfilled the law for those in the body of Christ. Many Prosperity teachers will never let go of this teaching because it has made them Multi-Millionaires. Promises of being able to pay money by ti... Read more

What happened to his first wife? Way back from the start he appeared with his first wife on TBN then as his fame & Mega Church grew he got a new wife and kid shortly afterwards. Is he accountable to anyone? He just kept right on preaching without batting a eye. When you are in the public spot-light as a Bishop and preaching the Gospel aren't they aware that people notice things like this? All of that supposed talent when it comes to whipping up the crowds but what about character? Does it count these days in Christian Church Leadership? I knew people in California that were members of his Church and said there was no explanation and you better not even think about asking what happened to the first wife. Her picture was removed from the Church and then another younger wife appeared on the scene and that was that! You can do just about anything in the Church world short of no remorse for murder and still guest on TBN. Does anyone in Christian circles think twice or question anythi... Read more

Let's establish something here moving forward about Clarence McClendon. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing and he serves himself and mammon. If that is not evident to all then you are being deceived and you need to read your Bible for yourself to see that we are to FLEE from these people who claim that Godliness is a means to financial gain. Paul said that in your Bible. Now what part don't we understand? FLEE? That means run from this man and others who are in his circle of deception. I will go as far as to set his personal sin and divorce aside even though there is Bibilical grounds to say he is not a Bishop. On a personal level we all sin. I am talking from a doctrine stand point. This man exploits his own race of people by feeding them false hopes that if they give HIM money (that is the reality) then they are going to get something HUGE from God. Bishop Jakes, Leroy Thompson, and Creflo Dollar all do the same. They exploit widows that are on fixed incomes for gain. Michael Pitts o... Read more

I was saved at the Church of the Harvest in 97. The Lord led me there in a really dark time in my life. I sometimes went to the morning, night, and Wensday service after I got saved. I went for over two years to at least one service a week there. I don't really go to any church anymore because I'm kind of lazy and selfish. Although my faith was strong at one time, my faith is not what it use to be. Hopefully that will change in the future. But as far as Bishop McClendon is concerned, nobody should judge him. We all have fallin short of the glory of GOD. I know I do on a daily basis. It's kind of hard for people and myself included to put there trust in Bishop McClendon because of his past and the amount of money he recieves. But if you don't want to go to his church, you can go to a different one. Every pastor out there does wrong here and there. Don't come on here and say stupid comments about the man. Your asking to be judge by doing that. It's cool to have an opinion, but remember h... Read more

I can not believe how so much time is spent by christians waiting for other christians to stumble and fall.  What happened to "the spiritual restoring the ones that weak".  I truly believe that some people keep sin scores on others so that they won't feel guilty about the sin that is in their own lives.  What we must remember is that sin has no weighing scale; all sin is wrong.  Whether you are a gossip or greedy for money or a drug addict.  It is the responsibility of the believer to live righteously no matter who is doing wrong.  It does not matter if you are a preacher, bishop, usher, or bench member.  You are required to live right before God and let your light shine before people.  There are no short cuts because you don't stand up in the pulpit.  What about simply being a light in the dark world.  Every christian is supposed to do that.  There is no elite heaven and peasant heaven for those who are not preachers and bishops, etc...  Ushers should show Christ just like bishops  We... All I can say is Whow to those who pass judgement. He/She without sin cast the first stone. Things we Christians do in the name of Religion. Nobody knows his story, but him and God. I pray for deliverance in anybody who is passing judgement on this man of God. We ALL are called and we ALL have sin in our lives. Please talk to God about Him, don't condemn him on the Web, what if someone put your stuff out there, how would you feel. Ecclesiastes 7:20 - There IS NOT a righteous man on earth who does what is right and NEVER sins. Be Blessed!!!!

Bishop McClendon preached here in our area recently. He preached a good word. The gifts come without repentence. If your life were put under God's microscope what would He find? Hmm, lying, hate, stealing, cheating, fornication, bitterness, gossiper, adultery, laziness, slothful, judgemental disposition, coveting, malicious slander; Would He see you drinking, smoking, partying at the club? Are you "perfect?" I wonder what would God find under His microscope on you??? I am certain, like Bishop McClendon, He'd find a SINNER saved by His grace!

What I wrote below is not a rating but my personal feelings on the broad topic of television evangelism.  I wrote them under the Clarence E. McClendon subtopic because it was the only one I had really read at the time.  I happened across it and this site while running searches trying to find the Full Harvest International Church Website, which was offline for a while.  I found that The Lord indeed blessed and gave me clear directions through messages I saw on the telecast.I gave a four rating for the numerical reference only.  I'm for inspired and prolific preaching.  I'm far from a prude and I try to heed Davids example in not dealing in matters higher than myself.  I believe anyone who heeds a divine calling and opens their lives and personal decision making to scrutiny from any and everyone, should be commended.  Much of the good they do is so often overshadowed by reckless judgments and innuendos.Aside -                                                                               ... I rate this a 4 star. Bishop McClendon is an anointed Man Of God that has been sent to preach to this lost and dying world. In 2002 I went through a very trying time; but God sent this man of God via television, to preach my deliverance,my growth, my steadfast, my faith in the Lord. I received teaching from his ministry that I did not receive in 25 years in my local church. God bless you Bishop McClendon, and keep doing what God has called you to do, and that is to preach the Word of God. God has already forgiven you, just like He has forgiven me.

Clarence E. Mcclendon is a false teacher. That's blame to see. Jesus said that a tree is known by the fruit it bears. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? The answer is no, according to the Bible. Plus, ministers are to be held up to a very high standard according to Paul's letters to Timothy...as some people here already pointed out. Since Mr. Mcclendon has failed to live up to such standards, despite his feelings, he should not be placed in a position of leadership in the local body of Christ. That's just the way it is. It's usually those who like this guy who try to make all kinds of excuses for him to still be able to teach what their itching ears want to hear, but for those of us who prefer to stay true to what Scripture states...we cannot ignore the obvious. I rate this guy w/ a single star. He shouldn't have any, actually.

McClendon, another friend of Earl Paulk's.  McClendon got involved in Paulk's sexcapades over at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit too, and Paulk performed the wedding ceremony that McClendon had 5 days after his divorve to wife #1 was final. As you're reading this, McClendon is likely receiving his subpoena to appear at Paulk's sexual molestation trial in Atlanta. Can't wait to see how he tries to explain away his involvement under oath.

I have been at McClendon's for years and experienced both good and bad. But the fact remains that we are all human beings trying to get it right before God and I understand that men of God should operate at a higher level of integrity but that does not always happen. Our responsibility as believer's is to uplift and intercede for the men and women of God that are preaching the Gospel. If you are not in agreement with the vision of a particular house then it is more helpful for you to leave and pray for God's direction than sit there and run the man of God down. The bottom line for us all is that it is because of God's mercy's that WE ARE ALL NOT CONSUMED AND HE THAT IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE. Many of you can't deal with Bishop McClendon's fall from Grace, so to speak, because you don't have the courage to face your sins. How can you take the mote out of your brother's eye and there is a plank in yours!

No one has the right to claim to be saved and judge someone. Sorry that is not written in the Bible. People are experiencing lack in their life because of what is coming out of their mouth. There are people dead right now because of what they said about Bishop McClendon. I can vouch for that. You either speak life or death and people do not seem get this. Life and death are in the power of the tongue according to the Word of God. Yes I am taking comments personally because Bishop is my spiritual father and people are telling lies. They are still focusing on drama the supposedly happen 5+ years ago. He and his ex-wife both made mistakes while being married to one another. If God has forgiven him, why can't man? Because most so-called Christians are turned on by drama. No one will know the true story so voicing your opinion based on what you heard or read in a so-called Christian magazine is not wise. I just wanted to let the people who read this page know that Clarence McClendon is a wonderful person. I knew the Bishop as a personal friend. When I met him, I was a lost soul. He took the time to reach out to me & show a way out of the mess I had ended up in. He was neither arrogant or selfish in his friendly guidance. In fact I had no clue he was even a Bishop. He had no motives for money or recognition. He acted in an extremely humble manner. He never judged me, never looked down on me, AND HE HAD NO AUDIENCE- His acts of kindness were recognized by no one other than God. He is one of the few people that has made a major difference in my life. I am sure you all have had at least one person in your life this memorable.
