I have never been a Walters fan. She needed to retire about 30 years ago. Now she looks like some old prune trying to be popular and stay on TV....she'll never give up. With the way THE VIEW is these days with her keeping Elizabeth Hasselbeck instead of just cutting her loose, I can't stand to even try to watch the show. When they're BOTH there, it's more than I can take, so I just switch channels. Hasselbeck is BAD enough without both being there at the same time!

This hypocrite has zero credibility after the lying she did about Star Jones.  I suspected she was like that, but she just came out and confirmed what a hypocrite she is.  I can't stand that show full of liberal harpies and now that I know what an elitist b*tch she is, I won't even watch any of her specials anymore.  She seriously needs to retire and take that claptrap show The View with her.  Btw, she's as much of a "journalist" as I am!

If you lose her support, your time on the View is up-Ask Star Jones, Debbie Matenopoulos, and Rosie O’Donnell.

Horrible.  She's not a journalist but pretends to be one; she's not a human being but pretends to be one.  She had the good fortune of being born to a wealthy family, so she could never really experience what the rest of us call failure since she always had the safety net of gobs of money.

It may not be fair, but just the fact that she used to "date"  McCarthyite scumbag and latent homosexual Roy Cohn invalidates almost anything of worth she might have to say, as far as I'm concerned.

I've always loved Barbara. She allows her fun personality to show on "The View" and I'm glad she is doing that show. Her news shows and specials have always been excellent. Star Jones should not have pulled a surprise "leaving" stunt without Barbara knowing it.

She's an institution. Think about institutions in general...some do great things and deserve respect because they've been doing "it" forever, but I can't think of any that are warmly embraced and some are damn scary!!

Her respect as an old timer has diminished to almost zero with the Star Jones fiasco. Barb, I thought you had more class than to roll in the mud like an ally cat with Star Jones. Just being reminded that she ever CREATED the view makes me mad. Fade into the sunset please and save some diginity if possible.

She might have stood out when there weren't too many women in the business, but now she's just another unimpressive person on t.v trying too hard to stay "relevant". Like one person wrote, her bias is truly beginning to show and with each appearance on the View, she loses whatever it was she had going for her- Extremely insincere, she is quite self-absorbed and self important ....another mediocre creation of the dubious American set up. Everything she does is about ratings and she appears to have ice cold water running through her veins.... Absolutely no redeeming qualities here-

I take one star off for the view. I have only seen that show a couple of times and never really seen the point. It's annoying in that you see these ladies talking about a topic but yet you can't join in, what's so great about this? But Barbara Walters specials are really good, entertaining. Also, good for making SNL skits from...

Head witch on The View. The only thing that show lacks is a big black cauldron in the middle of the set.

For a woman over 70 she looks great. I think her and Diane Sawyer should get into an on air catfight

High salary should be spent on speech coach. Her heartfelt interviews make me run to the can. Old, tired, dull, harpy who never should have been on the tube to start with. Phoney and shrill - the kind of chilling brassy bitch that is typical of New York City power elite. She would eat you and your children to get top ratings. If she ever told me she liked me as a person, I would cut out my heart and hand it to her - saving her the time.

Simply the best! Who can interview better than Barbara Walters? She has class and balances out the ladies on The View. It's fun to see the real character of Barbara too, not just as a news journalist, but as a real person.

Glad to see Barbara finally on this list. She is always magnificent and should be #1. This is one great lady with a great program.
