Turkey

Several people I know have moved to Istambul, and they are all very happy with their decision.  Wonderful people, thriving economy, good political situation by Mid-East standards; incredible cultural attractions and natural beauty.  The only complaints I've heard are over the currency, which has risen with the Euro over the last few years-it's not a cheap place to live anymore, which is a good indication the country is pulling out of the third world.

It's a little bit akward to form my opinion about moving back there, considering the fact that they threw me out only because I don't believe in Allah and happened to be of a different background. Saying all that, Turkey is gorgeous. It's breathtaking. It was my home once upon a time. Go figure?...

Sure, why not? We'll probably move out there someday. As long as we move somewhere in western Turkey near the coast, I'm fine. There's no way in hell I'm going anywhere east of Ankara.
