Toltec in origin,Quetzalcoatl has gotten a lot of press lately due to the "New Age" book craze surrounding the 2012 "end of history" theories. He is one of their Supreme Dieties, linked to the Morning Star, air, wind, medicine, fertility, fishing, luck and a plethora of stuff. He was said to be the inventor of the Calander, and I believe this is what ties him in to the 2012 thing. He is usually depicted as a Feathered Serpent, but also appears in human form.Mythologically,he was a great ruler until he was seduced by a Witch Goddess who slipped him some 'shrooms. After this downfall,he left Mexico in shame in a raft made of serpent skins. The sun set his raft afire and his spirit rose & merged with it where he can still be seen in the solar eclipse.

Now that we know that some of the dinosaurs had feathers (triceratops, deinonychus- you know, the one idiots call 'velociraptor', etc.)... the term 'feathered serpent' may finally be understood. Maybe at one time, man didn't sacrifice other men to some stupid, made up character. Maybe at one point the human sacrifices were just a form of petcare. Write this down, and call the SYFY network...
