Alright, Medved is a sycophantic hack, but he's smart, I'll give him that. The other reason I rated him two stars, rather than one, is because, unlike Limbaugh or Hannity, he will debate people with whom he disagrees, instead of having the screener put through a bunch of boring fawning callers. Although, sometimes I suspect he has the screener put through only callers who Medved can out debate on “disagreement day,” for the purpose of demolishing them to make himself seem cleaver. Seriously though, this guy is intellectually dishonest and spurious. One curious thing that I have noticed is his irrational hatred for anyone who is not a Republican or a Democrat. The curious bit is that he is supposedly a conservative Republican, and is respectful enough of, say, the Clintons, or Obama, but if someone brings up a third party, he reflexively leads into an invective laced rant. Anyway, no mater what your geographic location or time of day, I'm sure you can find someone better on AM t... Read more

Aside from wall-to-wall election/economy coverage, it's often a great show. He gets some of the nuttiest, most angry callers.

If he has a caller that he does not agree with he brings the music up and says he has to take a break.  Seems full of hate for anyone that is not on the far right.  Sad but he really needs to do his reviews of movies and leave the politics alone.

I give him a 5-and I really think he's excellent, but much better as a writer than a talk show host;I mean he's a film reviewer who actually cares about the values of a film.On radio,"to my ears",he comes across a little snooty-and I'm not crazy about his voice...what do I know?

Liked him tell his interview with Ron Paul. He says he would be fair but the questions he asked, like are you a 911 truther, I lost all respect for him. He's just a shill like all the rest. This made me sad !

Sharing his concerns on social values, feel there is a considerable amount of argumentation that he is unable to articulate persuasively. As listeners, we grasp his intent but end up doing a fair amount of debating in our minds for him.

USED to be good, but has become a "Lap-Dog" for the Ultra-Right wing, those are the People whom, like the Ultra-Left Wing, want to Subvert the US Constitution to "Bend" the American Citizens to their Wills.

In these times, the topic is the culture war. Shall we be secularist or shall we stay traditional? He is a good commentator on current conflicts.

Medved is definitely one of the best debaters on radio.....and certainly the brightest. I find it hard to believe that if lefties would listen to him on a regular basis AND have an open mind, that they wouldn't convert from the DARK SIDE. Dennis Prager is the only other talk show host who WELCOMES conflicting view points and is able to actually have an intelligent debate w/ them. Can anyone name any left-wing host that can do that??

I generally disagree with everything he says, but I find myself turning his show on just about every day so he must be doing something right. Sometimes I wonder if he really beleives everything he says or if it is just schtick. I also wonder sometimes if he is an in the closet self hating homosexual, mostly due to how many shows he does about opposing gay marraige/rights and he makes a lot of subtle sexual gay jokes involving anuses. Something else that amused me was during the 2004 election coverage he spent numerous shows about the flip flopper Kerry while Medved himself used to be an anti war liberal. He has really unintentionally funny movie reviews.

Great debater and brings up lots of good issues, and INVITES debate, unlike wimps like Al Franken who is too cowardly to have callers. Well-reasoned even if occasionally wrong (who isn't?).

Not quite sure why this guy has a career. I remember him as being pretty funny when he helped write the Golden Turkey award book in the late 70's, then he disappeared, and returned as a critic trumpeting films that reflected family values. Now they bring him out as opposition as soon as anyone attacks Mel Gibson or his fantasy about the Savior. Not trying to be cute, but I'm not quite sure what his point is. Is he?

His show covers the culture wars from the point of view of an observant Jew. He is extremely professional in his delivery and displays a substantial knowledge of history. However, while he does put more opponents on than most talk show hosts his screener chooses only those who make arguments that he can handle. Michael Newdow was a guest and hit Medved with arguments that he didn't expect making Medved look remarkably sophomoric. If you like culture war stuff you'll like his show. If you don't want to hear the same arguments over and over against poor competition, you won't.

I have listed to Michael since 2002. In my opinion I think he is slighly better than Limbaugh. Gives opposing viewpoints first opportunity to call the show and even the rudest callers get more time than I think they deserve. Is the of the smartest people I have heard on the radio. Does his research well and has stymied several guests on his show. One of the best is when he had a woman who was a sensitivity trainer put him through her own training. I have never seen someone so off their game. Although there are a few liberal out there who come across as pretty rational,... but not really very many. In the greatest nation on God's green earth, upward and onward!

I've listened to his show off and on for about 5 years. At first i found him to be very intelligent and informed, However the more i listen to his show the more his true colors show...for example...Radio is his medium...and for some callers or even guests its unfamiler ground and its easy for them to be nervous etc...and he will attack them bombard them with questions to confuse them and not allow them to express thier views especially if he can sense that they are winning the debate with him...and of course as with all right winged political people...he never admits when he's wrong...i found his show a lot more interesting when Clinton was in the white house..and i can understand that because i'm sure it was a lot easier for him to bash and point out Clinton's faults then trying to defend Bush's actions and beliefs

He is the Farmer Ted of talk show hosts... He is a little geeky/quirky... but he is the King . His history knowledge is incredible. Even though I disagree with many of his points, he encourages debate, resulting in a very addictive show. John

A humerous conservative talk show host, Michael Medved combines some of the best aspects of the more popular talkers. He is generally more polite to his quests, but appears oblivious to the many legitmate points his opponents make. Unfortunetly, despite presenting a well-rounded program, Medved falls short in originality, and is over-shadowed by more veteran hosts.

This guy is without a doubt the sharpest host around. The reason he's not no. 1 is due to the fact only SMART PEOPLE listen to him. And since the Dems have dummed down the country during the last 40 years, well you know, there just isn't many smart people anymore. Wayne Arthur

In my opinion Medved is a GREAT host to follow the Limbaugh show. I particularly like that he is not just a Rah rah conservative parroting the same points over and over and over as hosts like Hannity do. I love his varied subject matter and the facts with which he backs up his thoughts and opinions. I love that I can hear the humor in his voice when he is subjected to the absurd. The one fault I find is with his woeful website - it is hard to navigate, boring and incomplete. Come on Michael - share with us some of your terrific sources so we can argue and debate like Michael Medved!
