As I write this I have half a glass of Summer Brew by my left hand . It has a nice smooth flavor, thick head and doesn't go flat as fast as the others. It is a very good after-work Beer. it is a very good beer even if you've been relaxing or lazy all day. It may not be the best Beer in the world, but its definitely in my top five, and a hell of a lot better than Bud, or the like. Always try to have a Case of this on hand.

Too many hops make it a bad tasting beer.

I think that most beers that come out of Pete's Wicked brewery are pretty good. I especially like the Winter Brew. The Pete's Wicked Ale is a reddish brown ale and it is flavorful and malt-y. It is a bit stronger than Newcastle Brown Ale, but good nonetheless.

Maybe I drank an old bottle but I wasn't impressed. Can't hold a candle to most craft beers. Would probably drink it before most US macro-brewed products but not by much.

This is a decent brown ale. It kind of revitalized the brown ale style in America from what I hear, but I like the British ones better. Like Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale!

You can put this at the top of American ales. I always pour my beers into a clean pint glass. This ale, when poured, leave a great head of foam for quite a while. The palate can taste the balance between the hops and the malt and it leaves you wanting another sip. This ale has a deep amber color and has a consistent carbonation flow as bubbles travel from the bottom to the top of the glass. Hey, who wants a flat beer? This is actually a beer I can eat with food. I tried it with a burger and fries.

better than sam adams, or any of the bud-miller mafia products but only average on a world stage or even against many TRUE american micros

It's an okay beer, but it's not my first choice of beer to order at a bar or to put on my shopping list.

This beer is getting harder to find these days, but I can still find it if I really want it. I really enjoy this brew, it is quality, far surpasses that Sam Adams piss water low quality brew. If you know anything about beer you will know Pete's Wicked Ale is good stuff, and if you enjoy dark beers like Guiness off the tap or in the can, Samual Smith Oatmil Stout, New Castle then you will like Pete's without a question.

In two words....totally disgusting ! The only reason it got 2 stars instead of one is cause I think the name is cute...

It's getting harder to find this stuff in my neck of the woods. It's good, it's smooth and it's filling. I have a hard time drinking it with a meal.

Tastes what I imagine aftershave lotion tastes like. This is for Budweiser drinkers who want to come off as sophisticated when they want to impress people at the bowling alley. Or for highschoolers making their first attempt at being upmarket.

Very Good brew. If I was to start my own beer brand, I would model it after Pete's.

Pete's is a good beer, and carried in a lot of arena's and venues where Budweiser and Coors usually dominate. Making it a nice alternative to either one of those. It's an ok beer, better than the average, but nothing outstanding.

Pete really works the magic to produce a great ale.

Is this beer still around? The only reason that it got popular is because it was one of the pioneering micro brews. At a time when your options were Bud, Michelob, Busch, etc, of course this beer is going to stand out a little bit with its sweet taste and amber color. For this innovation it gets credit, but when stacked up against some real quality beers such as Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Lagunitas, Anchor Steam - it is just not in the same league.

Almost all the Pete's flavors are great, but I'd count the original Wicked Ale and the Summer Brew as my two favorites. Simply excellent.

my first taste of ale was Pete's at a beerfest, and it's still my favorite. Although Pete's Strawberry Blonde is a really close second.
