Love it! Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion anyone? Yes please! lol. It smells like suntan lotion, and makes me think of lying in a hammock on a beach, with cool ocean breezes washing over me. It's a light rum (or liqueur if you prefer), so it won't get you drunk easily, and is great alone or mixed with coke. It doesn't burn going down, like some other drinks, just soothes and relaxes.

It smells like sunscreen and in most countries it would be considered a liquer. Its not made from sugarcane or mallasses but rather malt liquer

You really can't say anything bad about Malibu. Except that if drank in mass quantities your hangover will be epic! Great mixer, especially with most every kinda of juice. Good to have around for the ladies, brand recognition and something light for the taste buds, whats not to like.

I really love a good Malibu and Pineapple juice. This drink takes me away to another place - an island where I can lounge and sip on these drinks with little umbrellas! I think the Malibu rum is much better than other rums because of the flavor, however I did notice Malibu can be a little thicker than other rums and maybe this is due to the flavor. Regardless, it is a great rum!

I never understood why people liked Malibu until I tried it at a Jamaican restaurant in fresh-squeezed tropical fruit juice. It was awesome in that--so much better than regular "plain" rum. Its coconut flavor is actually rather light and refreshing--surprisingly it doesn't really add too much of a sweet taste.

Swiflet hit the nail on the head. I love coconut and the tropical flavor of this rum makes it amazing.  Probably my favorite rum to drink by itself.  Would like to be able to drink whole bottles of this stuff and still be able to walk in a straight line but that might be asking a little much.

I'm in <3 with this rum. Maybe I just like coconut but it's GREAT. My favorite drink of my own creation (while experimenting at work) involves Malibu + Sierra Mist + Grenadine.

Maybe its just because i don't care for the taste of coconut, but i thought this stuff tasted horrible. A lighter rum, but to flavored for me.

Hmmm. Kind of overpriced for a Rum, considering the proof and demographic aim for the product. That being said, a decent product for a specific purpose, that being if you are in the mood for a not too strong Rum (42 proof I believe) and something that tastes sweet and not like alcohol. However I almost never fall into this category, so I'll usually be drinking it when with a large large group of people and thats what the group consensus sort of chews out. Meaning it would not be something I'd buy of which I would be the primarly drinker of. Had a very sweet moderate coconut flavor quality to it. Yeah I could understand the comments about sun tan lotion lol. Sugar in it will probably make you hyper before it makes you drunk. ;-) I have a feeling this would be fun to compare to Bacardi 80 proof Coconut Rum, will have to buy a bottle of it one of these days...

WOW! This is really bad! But if you like the taste of raw coconut milk with bitter cough medicine, you might like it.

This stuff is for chicks, I can't believe it's allowed to be called rum. Only 40 proof or whatever, really weak, and overrated.

MALIBU is an excellent drink, especially when mixed with pineapple juice and crushed ice! The sweetish taste gives the illusion that it's not particularly strong (false conclusion), so be careful. HEAVENLY!

A little too much coconut and too little rum. Have plenty of this around if you want to see some young ladies get a little too drunk...not that I condone that or anything.

This is my favorite drink mixed with papaya juice and a sour apple pucker. I like that it doesn't taste like alcohol, but be careful. It's easy to drink TOO much because it doesn't taste like you're drinking alcohol.

I love this. You can drink it straight and have no problem, but after a whole bottle you get kinda sick off it. It's not expensive.

I actually haven't had any rum for about a year. But I remember the tangy yet smooth taste of this ghetto favorite. I actually had it mixed with lime and soda. But I could imagine straight shots would be just as effective. I would also like to mix it with vodka and strawberries to see if I can down a few shots of them.

It tastes great and I can mix it with almost anything. It gets me where I need to be. I have actually been to the manufacturing plant.

This rum is the best, especially if you don't really like the taste of alcohol. Anything with Malibu in it tastes like a sweet dessert drink. It is not very effective in getting you drunk, but will do the trick if you drink enough of them, which is an easy thing to do.

Last year was my senior ball and my boyfriend's senior ball. We had rented a huge party bus for after the dance and it was stocked with lots of liquor, but that night there were three bottles of Malibu and it was the first time I ever tried it. I liked it so much that after awhile it just tasted like coconuts with no liquor after taste.

This is the best rum. I love to mix it with pineapple juice. I don't like to get sloppy drunk so a little of this makes me feel good. It tastes really good.

Malibu is hella good. It is well priced and good tasting. I like the coconut flavor. It will also get you faded. I also like it because girls like it and it gets them hella drunk, which pleases me.

You can take shots of this and it tastes great. If you use it to mix drinks, it works great because the strength of it is not too strong.

Malibu is basically a women's liquor because it is not strong and its taste appeals to women. Many girls will take shots of Malibu or mix it with Coke! Malibu tastes like coconut and does not burn your stomach. Malibu is a great drink that everyone in a party would enjoy!

Malibu is the best rum. It smellls and tastes like Hawaiian sun tan lotion. It doesn't seem like it's that strong because I can drink a lot of that stuff.

This tastes pretty good, but expect to go through half a bottle if you want to get drunk. The coconut flavor's a little too sweet for me, even though it adds a nice flavor to drinks. But I don't think it's only 40 proof, so why would you mix it with something.

Malibu rum is good also, especially with Pineapple juice. It gives it a coconut taste. I don't really like coconut but it's better than drinking an alcohol that makes you yack.

This rum is alright. It's not strong enough for me. A lot of girls drink it with Coke. It's not too bad if you mix it with something. Stronger than Bacardi 151. It kind of reminds me of baby oil or sunatan lotion. I never buy it but I'll drink it if it's free.

Malibu is nice as you can sip it with ice or mix it with soda for a nice smooth taste. It is quite mellow and doesn't burn. As it already has coconut water, it adds a nice Caribbean taste.
