Prefer Ale to Lager, So right off the bat it loses a star. Loses another star because of the Green bottle. Green and Clear bottles are the devil of beer, it lets in too much light and causes that Skunkiness. However, for a Lager this isn't bad Beer and if you can drink it right away or get it from the tap then its not too bad at all. Overall, it's not my first choice for a brew, but you could do far worse than Becks.

Beck's is alright, but there are so many amazing German beers out there that I do not know why someone would want to waste their time and money on Beck's. It is a good-quality lager, but it is not mind-blowing by any means. It has a rather mild flavor and no unpleasant aftertaste.

Overrated, it may seem a little bizzare for me to give positive feedback on other green bottle standards, but not this one. However, st. pauli is cheaper than becks and heinkein has the keg cans going for it ( to help protect against the great opposition to beer, light). Not to mention I grew up with Pauli and heinkein too. I just have to slam becks.

Sweet German lager aroma, unique style with a bitter taste. It’s a just above average beer that goes down smooth.

Beck's works for me, special occasions only.

Ordered it a few times back in the day, but it really doesn't stand out in my memory.

Probably the best of the lagers in my opinion. Which given my generally low opinion of that style of beer, is damning with faint praise.

In Germany, this is a really good beer. The imported product isn't anything special.

A good lager beer. Green bottles need to be stored out of the light or the beer will become "skunked".

I like Becks. Not too heavy tasting where you get the aftertaste.

A good beer, especially considering that it is mass produced. However, when you consider that it is a German beer, it has to be held to higher standards. So if it was an American beer, I could give it five stars. But I just expect more from a German beer.

A good German import. I'm not sure if Belgium can brew beer better than the Germans or not, but when they compete, I win.

I discovered Becks about thirty five years ago and it is a nice hearty beer. It is not my first choice however.

A pretty good lager, but would suggest Starobrno or Radegast instead.

A great tasting beer. It's a shame they don't have Beck's Gold in the States. It is a less bitter brew in my opinion.

I always order it at the bar if there's the usually  Bud, Miller, Coors only available. A good drinker  and always reliable.

I'd leave a five if they actually sold the original in the States! It was one of my favorites when I still lived in Germany. I was thrilled to discover it in an American bar, only to hand back the bottle after a few sips. I've heard that it had to have things added to the recipe in order to import it here. No clue if it's true, but I can tell you that the original stuff is worth a try, should you ever end up in Germany.

This is a disgrace to German beers, I was expecting something really good being a beer from Germany but it was quite bland and ordinary. The only thing good about this beer is that it's made using Germany's purity law, that all beers made in Germany must only be brewed using, barley, malt, hops and yeast.

Hard to judge, the stuff in Germany was okay but the North American stuff is gross
