I loved the diversity there! They welcome all walks of life with open arms! I trained Muay Thai at the Rawai Camp in Phuket, Thailand. Such an awesome experience fighting in the country where it all began! It is so surreal!!! For most of you unfamiliar to traveling to a 3rd world country, this would be such a culture shock with all the poverty there. Otherwise, the country is rich in color, sounds, diversity, tastes, and scenery! I highly recommend everyone to experience!!

Thailand is spectacular. I'm astonished to see such a low review. It offers such a diverse array of attractions. Check out the world class beaches and islands in southern Thailand, the crazy and debaucherous nighlife of Bangkok, or go zen and experience the northern region in Chang Mai. Take a motorcycle ride through the mountains and see waterfalls and drive by hill tribes who are trying to sell you Opium. Thailand deserves 6 stars.

Thailand is the ulitmate backpacking destination. It's cheap, beautiful, safe, laid back, and culturally rich. If you want to do urban stuff, Bangkok fits the bill, and there are also world class beaches in places like Ko Samui. Chiang Mai is another great place in the mountains that offers yet another angle on this incredible place. Highly recommended.

Thailand has some of the most beautiful scenery and beaches in the world, although becoming somewhat exploited. The Thai people also may be the friendliest in all of Asia.

Watch out for pickpockets and bring sunblock, but Thailand is a great place to visit. Wonderful beaches and incredible prices. The tourist ghetto is Khao-San road - a great cheap place to get a room for your first night. . .in the morning, you can catch a bus to one of a few exotic locations near a beach for a few days. Personally, I find Thai food the best in Asia. Thailand needs at least a week to really soak in the sun and beach. . .just a wonderful place.

Wish I could say I have been here before, but my brother married a Thai girl and she is the sweetest person I have ever met, not to mention she can cook such yummy stuff. She likes things extra spicy. Even if you think it's unbearable she thinks its eh If the rest of the people from the country are like her, it's got to be an awesome country.

Have some really fond memories of Thailand. Well you can ride elephants through the rainforest, watch posionous snake shows, they have tons of nice merchandise. They have all these wonderful Budda temples you can visit to experiance Thai culture.

Great country. People are kinder and friendlier than anywhere else I've been to. Prices are unbelievable, we stayed at a 5 star Hilton beach resort for under 100$ a night. Perfect vacation destination; Bangkok-cheap and big. One of my favorite cities in the whole world. There are tons of small beautiful postcard beaches to the south, Phuket is the most popular. If you have seen the Beach with Leo DeCaprio, that takes place and was filmed in the south of Thailand. To the North are the rural and mountanious regions. Small towns and villages dot the region. Don't miss Thailand it is an amazing experience and once you've been once you won't ever want to go home. My only complaint was that Bangkok was a bit dirty and smelly at times and there are quite a bit of homeless and destitute, a bit overwhelming at points. Also hold on to your wallet, pickpockets are crawling in crowded areas and while I wasn't a victim I have heard many cases of it happening. But don't worry too much, it is a great... Read more

Best food in the world, awesome people, beautiful beaches, great contrast (traditional countryside vs. intense Bangkok).
