To everone that has posted on this site in the past regarding Pastor Zachary Tims: Helpful, funny, agree or disagree, Psalms 105:15 - Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm. Harm is not always physical. Verbal harm is just as wrong. Look at what you have said in light of Pastor Tims passing. Romans 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. What he did or didn't do was and is Gods business. I don't know about you, but I'm just going to focus on building my relationship with the Lord, cause when I meet God, He isn't going to ask me about Pastor Tims. The greatest commandment is to Love. Have you loved your brother today?

He kept right on preaching even after it was discovered about his infidelity and marriage problems. Was there time out for restoration or repentance or only in your face (bold) arrogance? Seems he stepped up his guest appearances on TBN then I promptly turned off the TV. I cannot judge this man, but can only discern and believe what Jesus said, "that a good tree will not bare bad fruit." Please someone alert these preachers that when you are a public high profile TV Preacher the world is watching and you cannot go and pick up a woman for sex like the casual heathen godless married John. The message of the Gospel is still right no matter how wrong the lifestyle but there should be no confusion of the message with the messenger. I have no doubts that there may be people helped by his teaching the Gospel. I did not see even a little repentance, guilt or accountability as a sign of a contrite and broken heart that he grieved our Lord? Did I miss something? The only people withou... Read more

It really is sad that we have so much time to sit here and point out which preacher/pastor/leader is fit to be in the position that God not man has appointed him. In case none of you have noticed. There is a major issue that needs to be addressed. It is not whether or not our leaders are meeting your standards. Please he who is without sin I beg you to please stand up and cast the first stone. God uses all types of people. Come on now.. Just look at Saul OOps I mean Paul. Yesterday is Gone and all things whether you like it or not have become new. Now I ask if you are serious about God and "his" kingdom here on earth then I ask that you begin to pray for marriages. The very first institution that God created/ordained. The enemy is out to destroy marriages/families because he knows that is what builds the church. Please take off the judgemental blinders and see where the real issue lies. P.S. It won't hurt to pray for the judgemental, gossipping, backbitting spirits either. :-) oops. Wh... Read more

we are spending a lot of time and energy being concerned about pastor zachary tims and what he did or did not do.If he did sin the Bible tells us that we have an advocate with the father that if we sin all we have to do is confess our sins and he would forgive us and cleanse us from all unrightousness, he also said he would remember them (our sins) no more. So tell me why are we still fixed on him. the Bible says how can we see the beam in our brethren's eyes but we cannot see the mote in our own eyes. God is trying to get our attention so that he can do a work in all of us as individuals, if we are constantly looking at some one else than we are not seeking God for help for our own short commings. The Bible lets us know, that we have all sinned and come short of his glory. We need his forgiveness on a daily basis, we are not perfect and we miss it sometimes. but thanks be to God for the Blood of Jesus that covers us, so when he looks at us he see's the Blood he shed.We need to pray fo... Okay, I'm all for forgiveness. Forgive Zachery Tims and then WAKE UP!!! It is disturbing when Christians use certain scriptures and then try to apply it to a man's life...and the sad part is that so many of you are supporting and defending a man that you don't even know. Let's go back to the Word of God. Zachery Tims is not annointed. He has been disqualified to serve as a pastor according to the Word of God by his own lifestyle. That's it folks. It has nothing to do about being judgmental or "touching God's annointed". Please stop misrepresenting scriptures. Read the entire context of the scripture before you comment. So many Christians look very ill-informed and lacking in the wisdom and knowledge of God because they do not read their Bible. And because you do not read the Bible, Satan is laughing because he knows that you don't know anything. The whole time this man was having an affair, he was seen on TBN and still preaching in the pulpit. This proves that he is a liar, becau... Read more

okay, everyone says that we have to forgive. It is my opinion that Pastor Zachary Tims does not require my forgiveness, but the forgiveness of his family and God. I do believe GOD has forgiven him, as he forgives us all of our inequities! Now, lets get down to Church business! Yes, the business of running a church! Is the church there solely for you to come to hear a pastors "motivational" words based on the biblical teachings? or are you there to be a part of a ministry that has the values, morals, that you and your family require to be a part of? In otherwords, what can this ministry provide for you and your family? You have to ask the question. The perception that was presented was for me--Family values! Based on biblical teaching, am I the only one-now questioning this ministry? All I can say, you have to read the bible for yourself, study, and try to remove yourself from the "worldly" things--that can make us all fall. That is all you can do-but to support someone else's so-called... Read more

People of God:  Why are we going back and forth over the life of this man?  Have you not read in your Bible how the Lord called David a man after his own heart?  David was an adulterer and murderer.  God used a muderer by the name of Moses to deliver his people from Egyptian bondage.  He used a coward by the name of Gideon to defeat the Midianites.  All I am saying is that God does not use people according to OUR standards (and thank GOD he does not).  He uses them based on his.  I do see where David repented and God restored him (Psalm 51).  However, I do not see where Moses repented from his act of murder, nor Gideon from being fearful.  God still used Moses and Gideon and they were sucessful AFTER THE FACT.  God is a great God above all other gods and he is a great JUDGE.  Let him do the judging and let us do the forgiving and restoration of our brothers and sisters.  I served 20 years in the USN as a Hospital Corpsman, so I know about how to care for the sick and injured during war... I believe we should all forgive, if the man made a mistake and repented and God forgave him and so did his wife who are we to condemn him. Let him who is free of sin cast the first stone. Lets stop being so judgemental lets us examine our own lives before we're so quick to condemn everyone else. If he did it, yes it was wrong but where is our compassion. Let's help him rise up again not keep bringing him down. Has anyone of you ever made a mistake and wanted to be forgiven?

If he asked God for forgivness and meant it then God forgave him.  Breaking it off with this women means he wants to fix hismarriage and get back right with God.  No one is prefect we all fall we all make mistakes.  I knw it is hard of Riva to forgive him for what he has done but with prayer and couseling she can get through it.  God can mend a broken messed up marriage and make it new again.  Do not judge lest ye be judged.  If you dont know the whole story then dont comment.  I will pray that God restores your marriage and that the happiness you had before you will get back with God.  As for the children I will pray that God helps them through this diffuclt time and lets then know Daddy and mommy still love them even though this has happened.

If Pastor Tims has asked the Lord to forgive Him. Then he is forgiven. He can be patient and know that the Lord will restore him and if that repentence is genuine he will move forward and not backwards. Has anyone else been there before because I have. We will support and pray that his pain and the pain of his wife and children be healed. JC

Hello Everyone: After receiving constructive criticism and wise counsel from my mother, I cease this opportunity to deliver Pastor Zachery Tims and anyone who may have been offended by my previous comments. Please forgive me. Even though I was legitimately angry at Pastor for his unfortunate publicity, I really had no business expressing the things I wrote. THIS IS GOD'S JOB, NOT MINE! Moreover, I must admit that I had no business bringing up Minister Terry Bennit's name in this matter. My personal ordeal with him was totally irrelevant. I beg for his forgiveness, too. Additionally, I want to encourage everyone that if you have nothing good to say about Pastor Zachery Tims, it is prudent that you refrain from saying anything that will take God's attention of of him and directed to you. Just pray for him. In conclusion, I will submit that I am not going to give up on him because I refuse to forget the good he has done, including the hundreds of thousands or millions that he has won to t... Read more

The issue is not that people do not want to forgive Zachery Tims, the issue is they are angry with the lifestyle he portrayed and lived another.  He got caught up in sin and did not flee from it.  He was engaged in an affair with an atheist that he met in a Gentlemen's Club(Nude Strip Club) in Paris.  He aggressively pursused the lady by not telling her the truth.  She fell in love with him and this went on from August 2006 until October 2007.  The mistress is now angry with Zach because he played with her emotions.  I am not condoning the behavior of Zach nor the mistress, however, it is now time for Zach to man-up and tell the truth.  His wife, his children, his members and his supporters deserve answers.

As I have read multiple entries to these blogs, they paint a picture of massive confusion which God is not the author of. We may quote scripture concerning others situation, living by them is another aspect, there is knowledge and then application, try it; vengence is mine says the Lord. Unless you use scripture for good, it prospers nothing for the self righteous nor the one that has errored. The Holy Spirit will convict you.  So let me tell you what the Bible says, "to err is human, but to forgive is devine". "A just man falls seven times." Forgive 70 times 7.  In addition, what does 1Corinthians 13:1-9 say? Love suffers long and we all have baggage. Mary Magdelene was forgiven,  many have fallen short with God and that includes every one leaving messages, David, Abraham and Sarah helped God with a child??? David defiled the marriage bed with Bethsheeba, set her husband in battle and manipulated his death, Moses struck the rock, threw down sacred commandments, Even Jesus was approach... Read more

Although I hate it when people gossip and appear to enjoying the fact that a fellow brother has fallen, I still feel so upset and hurt that another leader has failed. We can't speak for God..therefore we have no knowledge as to why he does anything so why speculate and ask why? If he wanted you to know...he'd tell you.We can only have faith because even the bible has been manipulated. It has been reprinted and revised by man. Personal relationship is key. You can quote and quote and quote  but that does not get anyone closer to God.Oh I have such a laugh because we love to quote scripture and once again if we did things the way we really should everyone who has sinned should be dead...due to the fact that those who committed adultry were stoned.  Jesus came along and said he who has never sinned cast the first stone.... But wait!!!! And again...I say...what happened to all those pastors who had their wives beside them...Many have fail...no amount of scripture quoting is going to change the fact that God is only going to hold them responsible.Hmmm....what about scripture that tells you women should not wear mens clothing? God gave man and woman diffrent responsabilities for a reason. Pastoring is a 24/7 job -non-stop calls from members, constant visits to hospitals, funerals every other weekend ,etc.God did not put this job here for a woman ...if she is doing all the jobs of a pastor, when does the time for her to take care of her family come in? The children lack guidance and go astray, the husband lacks the needs of his wife and the whole household is in  chaos. When Judasbetrayed Jesus andthey were choosing anotherdisciple-why not choose  Mary or one of the other women that had been faithfully following Him?When Paul and Silas were in jail why did the women just stay in continual  prayer for them instead of taking over the church until they returned? Why does thebible clearly state thata women is not to upsurp authority over man-but only the women and chilren?Clearly the woman has a more important role in raising her kids full time and being that back bone for her husband when the devil attcks him.And yes ... Bottom line he chose the executive office of Pastor, and is held to a higher standard. He is suppose to set an example to his sheep and leadership. By committing adultery, he showed his lack of respect to his family, the pastoral office, and his sheep. It is his job to watch out for souls, not to lead them astray. His act has affected people negatively, example the pregnant mistress. Now think, there is a woman who can openly testify that this guy is a fake. We are to love and forgive, but we are to also judge accrding to Gods word when it is time.He needs to step down, and get re-direction. Temporarily handing over the ministry to qualifed man is the right thing to do. His wife is not in the best position to lead a flock. If she desires to stay with him, she needs to be with him solely thru this healing period.I have been there, and I am sadden by this. The world should be looking to us. I am a member at New Destiny Christian center. I know there are many that lift up leaders such as Pastor Tims to the point of no wrong (as there are in every ministry) which make me cringe in disgust. We must remember the following: 1-God calls us, not man. When God calls someone, that job is for life. Look at David, and how manytimes he "fell from grace," but he always was a man after God's own heart, and God would forgive him and allow him to continue fulfilling destiny. Which brings me to my next point: 2-We are the ones that elevate man to superhuman status, not God. It makes me so nauseated to know people blindly lift leaders up as people who can do no wrong, knowing that their leaders are human and live in fleshly bodies just like us. That obviously doesn't give them an excuse (as it doesn't to any one of us either) to sin, but it explains why in a time like this, if someone falls, ignorant people are quick to say "I told you so" or "he wasn't a real man ... Is anyone feeling grief over yet another shepherd causing the scattering of sheep? Why is it so minimized and excused that this man (yes sinful like the rest) can have sex with young women and come to church, apologize and then go on preaching without any recourse? How is his position as an authority going to influence the "sheep" under his care? Where is the power of the Holy Spirit for true repentance in this man's life? Wouldn't the proof be that he is so mortified by what he has done that he would willingly step down and give up his pastorship? Wouldn't that be the just, honorable and noble way to give glory to our Holy God? Are we not appalled that another shepherd has used his power and position to selfishly gratify his own desires instead of nuturing the "flock"? What despair and devastation must his beautiful wife be experiencing? What heartache must his precious children endure? Please do not be disimpassioned by this? The bible states that to "whom much is given, much is required." This man will have a lot to give an ACCOUNT to God for! I pray for his family. Especially, his wife. Then, his children. I have experienced this kind of pain and my family being torn apart. Trust me. It is no fun!!! However, he is a part of the ministry and he has a higher accountability as he has lead the people of God. This is not laughing matter. Although many people are talking and tongue-wagging, it is a serious matter. Personally, I did not follow him, but I did find that his views on marriage were rather strong. I admired his (now) so-called stand on marriage and family. I guess this is why I am so disappointed as I thought he was true. People, keep your eyes open!!! Follow the Word Of God!!! It is our guide. If we lean and depend on HIM we will not fail. Walk by faith, not by sight!

Pastor Zachery Tims is a great man of God, he was called by God and not by man. What ever is his sin, like those of us who are christians and are married and have made mistakes and God forgave us, he has also forgiven Pastor Zac for what ever is the sin he is accused of. It is not for the world to judge him but God. If we the ones who profess Christ have no sin in our lives, then let that person cast the first stone. David was a man after God's own heart, but yet God forgave hime when he had an adultress affair with Bathsheba and also committed murder by sending her husband to the front line inorder to be killed so that he can have her. These pastors are mortals and humans who are subject to sin. Paul said the things that he ought not do is what he does. It is sin that dwels in all of us. Just by gossiping about Pastor Zac on line is a sin, for God said touch not my annointed and do my prophets no harm. An honorary degree may be conferred by an institution that the recipient never attended. The degree itself may be a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree — the last being by far the most common.
