I gave ReMax an OK, but that was generous based on my one-time only experience w the company and only one realtor. Hopefully, other realtors of ReMax are more attentive and more dedicated to their jobs and clients. My realtor, however, was preoccupied with his outside interests and had very little time for me. I wanted to see more houses, and in fact I saw more houses on my own than I saw through my realtor. Also, my condo was sold quickly, but I wasn't ready. I expressed that to my realtor, but he said it may not sell later, so take the deal. I took the deal, and ended up being sorry I did. The "deal" would have waited until I was ready to move... and this caused me and my elderly mother much stress over the next couple of months while we feverishly looked for another home. It was not a good experience for us and we did not end up with the house we had dreamed of simply because we didn't have enough time to enjoy the house-hunting experience. My realtor gave me no guidance o... Read more

Sue Barlow sold me a home through the remax agency, and faulsified the water report. They claimed to have a good clean water source for my home, after numerous tests from the health department, the water was not fit for house hold use. The well and holding tank were around ten feet apart, and the well was only around 8ft deep. During the spring time, while the water run off from the melted snow over flows the holding tank, and contaminates the well. There should have been 100ft space between the well, and holding tank.. which was never inspected by the health department. Remax and Scotia Bank then put the home back on the market after installing a useless ultra violet light that does not fix the originall problem. According the the health department they should have notified the future buyers that the water was still unfit to drink or use. Sue barlow now works in Kingston, with royal lepage. Never use her as your real estate agent, for she will scre... Read more

I would say Remax rob my deposit after I move out of the rental. No matter how well you clean the house, they will professionally find excuse to rob your all deposite and possibly ask more from you. I would say I will never deal with company any more.

The most experienced and professional agents. Their agents, through education, experience and pure talent get the job done with the least amount of hassle.

I hired Remax as a property manager for my home in Jacksonville, FL. First of all, the agent, T.L., didn't even care enough about earning or keeping my business to return phone calls EVER. After my husband signed the contract (against my better judgement) it took them well over 3 weeks to even get a sign in the yard. We paid extra to have our home listed on several websites. Our home finally appeared on 2 sites a month afterwards. Someone came and took pictures of our home and the pictures were TERRIBLE. Weird angles, bad lighting, etc. Did not do our home justice at all. So our home finally was listed on a couple sites, but there were NO PICTURES! Our home was listed with this office for 6 months and we did not have one showing that entire time!! And our home is beautiful with 2200 sq. ft in a very nice part of town. There was no excuse for that. When our contract was up I called the agent T.L. to tell him I was not renewing it...he must've known he did a terrible job be... Read more

Juba - terrible agency they pre-approved me for about $50,000 more than i knew could afford to spend on any house, the agent made it very clear that she could only show me houses when she wasn't picking up her kids from school and she was showing me houses she wanted to show me (like her girlfriend's house which was about $75,000 more than i could afford and it was falling apart - but she wouldn't have to split the commission with another agent), instead of what i was asking to see and at a price she wanted to get. she also hesitated showing me houses where she had to split the commission with another agent. she also told me that if i were dealing with anyone else, she wouldn't do business with me. i told her flat out that i would use any agent who was showing me what i wanted to see and that i don't give anyone an exclusive. a friend of mine also had an experience where he said the agent was very arrogant. i can believe it! i would not recommend this r.e. agency to anyone. if ... Beware of Remax agents, name starts with Sh and Ar when you're planning to buy a home at League City, TX. The agent's broker (belonging to same Remax company) will try to be your agent offering you 25% payback (which is illegal). They will compell you to take a broker from their company instead what you thought to choose from a different company. If you are in their trap, your life will be hail and you will be a looser. Both the agent and her broker (who promised to be your, the buyer's broker) will actually work for Seller's agent, will not let you negotiate, will tell lies the whole time with fixing the defects of the house following inspection etc. Finally they will cheat you, will not pay you 25% as they promised. Instead they will get themselves a check (partial amount) from seller and will lie and write less percent comission in the GFE so that they can pay you actually 10 to 15%. So you will fail to negotiate the price, your house will not be fixed when you buy and also... Read more

I recently purchased a home and worked with Bryan Benham, a RE/MAX Agent in the Denver Metro Area of Colorado. He was wonderful! Very thorough, knowledgeable, and responsive. He showed us a ton of homes (everything we requested), listened to our needs and the things we were looking for, and provided market analysis information for homes we seriously considered. He also shared information about the quality of home build, area information and so on. I would highly recommend Bryan and would work with a RE/MAX agent in the future!

I have had nothing but bad experiences from the Remax rental group in the Orlando area. The agents were very defensive and rude whenever my wife and I had an issue. The Remax rental group represents a private owner and acts as a mediator between the renter and the owner. One of the many problems occurred when I was told to move in to a 2100 sqf house on June 9, 2007. On initial inspection of the house the bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms were filthy. We were told that a professional would come in and clean the house prior to us moving in 2 weeks later. This was never done. In fact we spent the first 2 days of our lease scrubbing and cleaning the entire house. The rugs were also supposed to be cleaned and never were. I spent an entire day and $120 in rug shampoo and carpet cleaner rental to clean the carpet. I was told I would be reimbursed only later to be told that they would not give me the money. Another condition for us to move in was that the kitchen floor needed to be replac... Read more

Most RE/MAX agents are undertrained and do not treat their clients with the respect they deserve. Just my opinion.
