his first year on KTAR was good. now it's just entertainment. On air time of about 110 minutes, first 60 minutes is nonsense, goofs off with the staff. Talks about himself a lot, but claims to care about others. He plugs his own books, how great his stuff is. I asked him to review a 5500 word story after HE indicated that he wanted to see it. I only asked for a short response, maybe an email, A total of 15 minutes of his time. All I got was an on air explanation that he didn't have time to deal with people on an individual basis. In the story is a part about phony people, I will revise it now and include him in that chapter. True colors do show through the air waves.

I listened from the day he started in dallas and stoped the day he left. can catch the stream from time to time out of AZ, but his replacement at KLIF is a snooze. We miss the show Dearly.

Phoenix get ready for a LOT of guest hosts! This guy takes more time off than other host I have ever heard. Bad back? Whatever!

I lived in Dallas for 2 and half years. I came to the big "D" just a month befor Ankarlo. I listened to him on his first day, and every day while I was there. I even streamed his show many times once I departed -- including my 7 months in the Philippines. I still consider myself a part of the Ankarlo Army and feel he is a friend, even though I met him only once in person. I am sorry KLIF did not do everything in its power to keep him, but once they let Knapp go, I knew it was only a matter of time. His next gig in Pheonix will be their gain. Darrell has the best non-national show I have ever heard ... I know he will rock Az as much as he did Texas.

I WAS an all day listener. The new people down there have decided that we don't know what's good. Well Darrell was good and they have made a big mistake. When listeners go so do advertising dollars!!

Ankarlo got my blood going in the morning (in a good way). His sharp edges tended to bring the best out of his listeners and that made for great radio. I will miss him when he leaves. KLIF has addes some real snoozers lately to replace Dr. Laura and Greg Knapp. Ths station is slumping into the valley of fatigue. I was an all day listener but will be shopping for a new station.

he's a hypocrit who was fired for sexual harrassment in St. Louis. A real bullshitter.

Darrell Ankarlo is an awesome person and radio personality. He stands up for what he believes in and gets the community/his listeners involved his causes. His last year's Christmas Exchange was awesome. If he leaves KLIF, they will lose this family of All Day Listeners.

I have listened to Darrell for 5 years now & can't believe he's leaving KLIF. He will be sorely missed. I love the passion & drive that he has for our community, the military & their families. Hope what ever station gets him enjoys & stands behind him like the metroplex has. God bless him & his family.

I don't get Ankarlo mornings up here, but I do download him on my iPod from time to time. He is unapologetic and to the point. Very distinguished and charismatic sounding voice.

TRUE, I suspect that Ankarlo has a direct line to the current administrations spin doctors and is just a puppet of this administration. Ankarlo - what a hatemonger!!! It is hard to believe that he is the son of a preacher.

Darrell Ankarlo is the voice of reason in an otherwise liberal-biased media. He communicates the issues in an entertaining way that makes me look forward to my drive to work. Keep up the good work!

I find Ankarlo disturbingly biased and disingenuous. He sometimes has very legitimate concerns and points of view, but his partisan and unbalanced approach is filled with logical fallacies, particularly arguing from false dichotomies. I suspect Ankarlo is intentionally using this approach, which makes him even more offensive to his listeners (who come off as rubes not recognizing this rhetoric trick) or his victims (most of whom do not listen to his show because his rant has become predictable and uninteresting). Sadly, he lacks the qualities of consistency of the great Conservatives like William F Buckley, Jr or Barry Goldwater...and I say this as one who has always been a serious critic and opponent of their points of view on many, but not all positions.
