When I see that it actually happens AND WORKS somewhere, I'll change this to two stars. My friends are all miserable except for the ones who are separated.

I just can't see a situation where I would take someone back after cheating. That nauseaus feeling wouldn't go away for me. Alcohol, or whatever else is no excuse.

Loyalty is sticking with someone or someone[s] through difficult times, but are we talking only in the context of dating? Seems to me loyalty has become a rare quality. It used to be if you made a date, an agreement to meet at whatever time, next weekend for dinner, or whatever other logistics where involved, I pick you up, you me, we did that. Now it seems with the instant and constant communications that many wait until the last minute looking for the best deal, because they can, Before the ability to change your mind in a nanosecond, there was still a choice, phones worked but were wired to a wall, or you needed a dime or quarter to call from the road, It has to have had impact on behavior, and on loyalty, It seems it is easier to not be loyal, to change your mind at the last moment, and accepted as the way it is, I just know I see relationships that are not comprised of what they used to be, More distance, less committed, more likely to break plans, Maybe just older... Not a real turn on if you ask me. More of a quality that you have or you don’t. My ex seemed to suffer from Loyalty Turrets Syndrome (LTS) near the end of our relationship. Because every time I got back from a business trip I'd ask how the boyfriend was while I was gone. That's when LTS kicked in, "You F-ing, A-hole, F-ing, Bastard, Mother F-er." If you are looking for loyalty, you’re better off with a dog or cat.

At first sight, this may not seem that important, but not being there for you, when you need them the most, is a sure ticket to breaking up.

I'd say i'm pretty loyal. I own a house and my boyfriend is unemployed and he sits home and watches tv all day and doesn't pay half the bills like he should

Yes, you need to stick it out because in the long run you are gonna be happy you did stick it out. I made wrong decisions by not sticking it out.

This i believe to be a must. i do believe that when the difficult time come and they will that they should be there for you and not just leave you and want you back when you solve the problem yourself i mean that is what a relationship is right?

A B/F OR G/F WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU IF EVER THE GOING GETS TO DIFFICULT TIMES, IF, HOWEVER, EITHER ONE ABANDONS, THEN THAT PERSON WAS NEVER A FRIEND - BOY OR GIRL.

Loyalty is more than staying power, it is also not cheating or crap talking behind their backs. That is mutiny. Like when I report to all his coworkers that I am sick of washing his poop skinner clad underwear, I am being disloyal. The most beautiful part of loyalty, isn't that they never leave.. it is that despite the rough times, even if they become separated for a while, they still choose each other every time.. And maybe this time around he learned how to wipe his own ass.

I've learned romance and finance are go-togethers. Bill Clinton proved any sordid infidelity could/would/should be foregiven--dude still gets good trim while looking like WC Fields. But if bill were broke, not even a Secretary of State would have him.

I'm not sure loyalty is a turn on, I think it's just something that I give and expect in return as a matter of self-respect.
