My wife and I are in our late 30's. We purchased a Cal King Tempurpedic mattress with base etc and enjoyed it for the first 6 months. The following 2 and half years have not been that great. Each morning we take turns to remind each other that we have to change our mattress. But then either she will go to our dresser and look at the warranty claim form or I will. The problem: There is a large enough dip on my side that if I sleep on my front my back aches from lying in a concave dip on my side and I wake up in the middle of the night. I am only 160 lbs and wife 130. My wifes side has a dip which is not as deep but still enough for her to ache. In the middle is a high spot which we sometimes fight for. The middle is nice and firm and when she was on vacation to stay with her parents overseas, I got 2 weeks of amazing sleep - yes, in the middle of the bed. Tests: I rented a truck and bought 2 sheets of 3/4" plywood and put it between our mattress and base box - there was no change. W... Read more

I spent big bucks on the Tempurpedic because of their advertising, I guess, and it has ruined my life---no exaggeration. I am 75; used to wake up with sore joints, etc. due to arthritis. Now I don't have to wait for morning to feel awful. Getting up at night---common at my age---means going back to this torture pad and agonizing lower back pain until I take pain med. The seller---Sleep Train in Sacramento---says its a no-return, so my money is gone and I don't have any other bed to sleep on. Actually tried the living room sofa and that was better, but not my idea of a cozy night's sleep. How I miss my old 15 year old mattress with foam pad. I least I was fine until I got up in the a.m. Tempur-pedic is a big fat scam and the sellers like SleepTrain are risking their own reputations when they deal in this kind of scam. Meg in Sacramento.

Would love to get rid of this bed!! My husband and I have been sleeping on the Tempur-pedic for about a year now. I am 26 years old, I've never had troubles sleeping and I've never had back pain. Since sleeping on this bed, my back has never hurt so bad and my nights are sleepless. Now I am 6 months pregnant and have resorted to sleeping on the couch for it is FAR more comfortable and supportive. Now that we are past our 90 day trial period, we are stuck with it! It is nauseating to think of how much money we just threw away on this worthless bed.

We purchased the King size Rhapsody model in Oct 2008 and have waited and waited for it to get more comfortable! Purchasing it in the beginning of winter was the biggest mistake! Our master bedroom generally runs cooler thant the rest of the house, so we thought it was the temperture during the winter that was making the bed so rock hard. By the time summer came along, it was impossible to sleep on it directly because of the heat, so I had to sleep on a thick comforter to avoid the heat retention. I did not have back or shoulder pains before I purchased the mattress, but now have acquired them! It seems if I don't sleep too, much in it, my back and shoulder is better! So over sleeping causing more back and shoulder pains! This was the biggest mistake we have made and regrettably expensive, too! I would not purhase this mattress! In fact, is any interested in purchasing it?

We have had this bed a year and 1/2 and I would love to get rid of it. We lived through the smell stage but it sleeps VERY hot. Now I have developed hip pain and my husband has developed shoulder pain from sleeping on it. I would not recommend this bed at all.

We purchased a tempurpedic mattress about 6 months ago and have been very happy with the purchase. Although expensive, it has seemed to be worth the money (not a bargain, but a fair price). Fore more information about tempurpedic mattresses feel free to visit http://www.bestmattressreviewer.com/tempurpedic-mattress.html Thanks, Danny

Tempurpedic Mattresses is still one of the best there is in the mattress market. You are assured of its quality and efficacy. The comfort and support it provides are remarkable. read more information here http://www.bestmattressreviewer.com/tempurpedic-mattress.html

This is what I feel about Tempurpedic Mattress. It posseses good sleeping quality, adjustable settings and helps to relief back pain but it has the inital smell and sticker shock problem. Visit http://www.bestmattressreviews.com for more mattress reviews.

I HATE my tempurpedic mattress and would LOVE to get rid of it. It is like laying on concrete and very hot at all times. I get sick when I think of the money I paid for it. Do NOT fall for what the sales people tell you about tempurpedic or "memory foam" unless you like a bed that is harder than sleeping on the floor. I many time get up and sleep on the couch to escape this torture chamber.

I would disagree.  I have a memory foam mattress topper,  and its TOO soft!!Thats what became the problem.  It was nice at first but it made my mattress so soft it started to hurt my back if i slept on it for more then 7-8 hours.  Now I sleep with out the memory foam on (just my firm mattress) and it seems to be working ok.

My tempurpedic mattress is not what they said it would be, I still have back and hip problems, I have had it less than 3 years and my side has a big dip in it! Also we have had the box part replaced 3 times because it squeeks when you sit on it. I would never recommend this bed to anyone!!!!!!!!!!1

My other half had back surgery many moons ago and has problems with his back to this day. I have problems with pressure points and the firmness of the mattress that he felt he needed. We finally got tired of being tired from a terrible nights sleep on our Sealy mattress so we started doing research on all the different choices out there. We read lots of reviews and talked to many a people that we know. What we heard was that the Sleep Number bed was a bad choice and a waste of money, from a couple that actually bought the bed, their reasoning was that their is a hard spot right down the middle of the bed due to the seperate air mattresses. When we read reviews at places like Bizrate that is what it said too. We looked into all the other ones and the only one that we considered other than the Tempurpedic was the Spring Air. We got the Celebrity Tempurpedic which has more layers and a plush pillow top. All I have to say now is good bye pressure points and hello comfort. We have ... Read more
