Meet Muhammad, asshole extraordinaire! This illiterate camel-jockey turned razzia (looting, plundering, and raping), the national sport of the nomadic arabs, into a religious duty. Violence has always been a key factor in Islamic political culture, and it all goes back to MuHAMmad. In 610, the little buggar started having hallucinations, telling people that God had been talking to him. Being sensible people, the arabs in Mecca kicked his crazy ass out, and he went to Yathrib to sulk. His ravings impressed many, however, and soon he had a band of arab raiders, and they started doing what arab nomads do best: looting. MuHAMmud started looting the caravans traveling from Syria to Mecca, and in January of 624 he led a raid that resulted in the death of one of the attendants at Nakhla, and captured two others. He returned to Medina (which is what Yathrib was called after this), and managed to piss off the other arabs of Medina, since he had spilled blood during the pagan "holy" month of Ra... Read more

In my opinion he is the 4th most influetional person in the history of the world. After Abraham, Jesus and the historical Buddha (Sidhartha Guatama ). Still, given that he is number 4 out of billions...pretty impressive. I've based this not necessarily on followers, otherwise he'd be number 2, but on secular and political considerations as well. He was a military, political and spiritual leader. He influenced millions of followers and divided the maps of the world. What have you done lately?

Active as a social reformer, diplomat, humanitarian, philanthropist, merchant, philosopher, orator, legislator, and military leader" he is the best cause his morals and ethics in every field in this life . the choice is "Mohammad SAW", If you are honest. people say about Mohammad SAW 1. “My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.” (Michael H. Hart) 2. "Philosopher, Orator, Apostle, Legislator. Warrior, Conqueror of ideas, Restorer of rational beliefs, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammed. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?" (Lamartine, Historic de la Turquie, Paris 1854, Vol. 11 pp. 276-2727)( http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/66190) 3. Encyclopaedia Britannica "Muhummed is the most successful of all Prophets and religious personalities." 4. "If any religion had the chance of ruling over England, nay Europe within the next hu... I may not agree with this but I have the good taste not to slam another person's religious leader with curse words and vulgarities unlike some fools do to Jesus who is Savior to countless followers. PS I have met Muslims who respect Jesus and call him a prophet, unlike some vulgar lunatics on RIA.

He's the only man in history who was extremely sucessful in both secular and religious levels. This unparalleled combination makes him the most important person in history. Billions of people don't imbibe alcohol who are followers of muhammad (PEACE BE UPON HIM). And we know alcohol is the mother of all evils.

•Christianity (1.9+ billion people). 600 year head start on Islam •Islam (1.5+ billion people). Catching up at a rate of 10:1. Many of the converts are Atheists or Christians (including many Church leaders and ministers). By 2025 Muslims will out number Christians. •In America pre 9/11 40000+ people convert to Islam per year, post 9/11, people have became curious about what makes Muslims tick. They are now discovering that what Muslims like these do are completely in the opposite direction to the teachings of Muhammad and Islam, hence why the number of converts has increased to 78000+ a year. •Jesus' message was 2.4 years, Muhammad's 23 years •Jesus' had 120 followers at the end of his time on earth Muhammad had millions •Muhammad confirmed Jesus and believed in him, as Jesus said to his disciples whilst in the Garden of Gethsemane that someone would come to confirm him •Jesus said he came to the tribe of Israel only, Muhammad said he came to all mankind. •The different denomin... He is Number One when it comes to the most Influencial person. Think about it his name is metioned around the clock 24/7 every scond around the world. look up that fact and also Muhammad is the world most common name ever. He fullfilled many categories that no prophet or a religous figure has ever done. look up it was his inspiration that created great empires that would effect the world advancement. Look up algerbra came from them, chemistry came from them. lenses came from them. alcohol came from them. syrup came from them. Zero came from them when they controled india. it was a muslim Indian who came up with zero digit, plus builded taj mahal too. All and many more done by the inspiring messag of this single figure. Karen Armostrong wrote a book about the influence of muhammad in the world. None like it. I have to be honest and I will not bring anyone position down because I dont agree with them.

Muhammad is a giant historical figure for writing the Holy Qur'ān and inspiring the Arab conquests, one of the most rapid expansions of any cultural group in history. The Caliphates were among the world's most important empires for at least two centuries. However ... the Qur'ān is based on prior Judeo-Christian literature, not a completely original work of theology (if anything is ever original). And it must be noted that while Arabs provided the religion and administrative system of the Islamic world, its creative achievements were often the work of people they governed: Syrian/Greek, Persian, Spanish, Indian.

Now, when I become matured and more independent, I wanted to tell all the readers outside there. Here we are living in this world, the journey to the end, we are servants, we bow to Allah, from Him a helping hand. We are different races from countries far and wide. Together we can face it, uphold what pure and right. We are stronger when we unite in ISLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! takbir!!! together we can make it, the world a better place....everything in life, we can take everything in stride because we live in this worldly life for we can try. Peace be upon you O messenger of ALLAH, the one who brought good tidings to us from the almighty. You are a form of forgiveness for us and a mercy for the mankind. I love you O messenger of ALLAH And I love the way you approached things. I love your sayings, your habbits, your thoughts, your manners and I love each and every word that came out of your blessed mouth. May Allah forgive me for the sake of the love I have for his most beloved messenger, and none has the power to forgive or to punish, except ALLAH. Not even Mohammad salalahu alyhi wasallam (Peace be upon you). Your chracter is pure regardless of what they say, and it is not you that has caused any effects on the history of the universe, but it is in the hands of ALLAH alone, to change it as he wills. And there is no might nor power except ALLAH. I testify that he is ALLAH, the lord of the great throne and the god of all the universe alone. And you are his servant and messenger and I am his servant, and ask his forgivenes... Read more

Obsoletely he is because we knew this great man choosing by Allah and he delivered Holy book Koran and its book included every single answer in our life and how we worship God to get paradise, brothers let us check our selves and worship The greater not his creation. We also knew prophet Jesus never said I am God and I promes to you if you worship me to go Heaven. not exactly but he teaches how to worship Almighty and obey him as a massager like all the prophets in the Holy Bible and the last holy Book from God Koran. We Muslims we don,t believe some different about Mohammed and Jesus they were both prophets form Allah and Allah said in the Koran no distinction between all my prophets. They all called people to worship Allah Thanks!

Recognized by philosophers and thinkers of all faiths and walks of life as the most important and revolutionary man ever existed. I have read His life and works from a secular perspective, and came to believe that this man, can not be other that a true prophet from GOD Almighty. I converted to Islam after reading His work and life. Seriously impressive.

Muhammad was a great man of course. He changed the life of Arabs from darkness to lightness. He brought a moral code for everyone to follow. He abolished racism and told people that there is no difference between them except in their moral stands. He brought civilization to many areas around the world. When I learned his sayings, actions, I realized that he was a very resonable and logical person. To sum up, the man had a cause and he fought for his cause until his final day.

Muhammad peace be upon him, is the only leader in the history of humanity which rule the life of his followers in all dimensions of life, he was the most successful religious , spiritual, social, moral, and cultural leader of all times. The greatness of Muhammad can never be confined to single dimension or monotonous. Muhammad peace be upon him is the sole pillar of religion Islam, everything Muslims have is due to him (PBUH). Take him out from the event of history and we don't have any Muslim forget about over the billion of Muslim which just spread out in 14 centuries ...

I think a person with real evidence of what they did should be amongst the highest. I think when it comes to religious icons things can get a little hazy and exaggerated. Most people are living from the values of the Holy Books, rather than the people in them.

Easily one of the most influential figures in world history. Muhammad's religious and political movement was revolutionary in many respects. Unlike other religious leaders like Christ or Buddha, Muhammad had worldly ambitions and sought to unify the Arabian tribes into one nation, unified by laws and social customs. He tied a religious movement to a military movement. Disparate tribes with antiquated political structures were replaced with a more conventional command-control structure. That allowed for Islam's rapid expansion during the 6th Century, first through the Levant and Central Asia then through North Africa and eventually Spain. Once control was established in newly conquered territories, they went on to establish legal and social reforms. Arabia in Muhammad's time was becoming extremely overpopulated, especially given the limited resources available in the desert environment. Muhammad believed that in order to relive some of these social pressures, it would be necessar... Read more

1.After being a King,Military Chief, legislature,Chief Justice of his kingdom not because of Dictatorship but of Influence. No human till now haven't lived in poverty who possess any one of the position. The reason is he declared the property that belongs to kingdom is prohibited not only to him but for this generation.I dont think any one would have lived as simple life as this man after conquering every richness yet not enjoying it.by the way he was not poor untill he started preaching Islam he was one of the rich people in the city. 2.He completed the religion(Submission to God) but in the case of Christianity it is yet to be completed (New testament, old testament Etc...)I dont blame Esa(Jesus) 3.He abolished inequalities(Rasicm) in Society and treated everybody equally. 4.No king openly declared rule favouring women untill that time, not even Queens of British Empire I can go on and on about this man.To me he is one of the role model in my life.

Has influenced more killings and destruction of property and antiquities than any other human being in history and is still influencing people to kill and destroy for him today. Has influenced more despots and dictators in more countries and his legacy of totalitarian dictatorship continues as most Muslim countries are ruled by dictators to this day. If his followers could have conquered Europe, democracy could have been wipe out for all time. His legacy of intolerance, taxation of non-Muslims and religious genocide have made an almost completely homogeneous Muslim landscape out of the Middle East. His influence in the slavery arena insured that slavery in Muslim countries lasted long after it was abolished in all other countries. (Saudi Arabia still has not signed the anti-slavery agreement.) His disdain for women and his reputation as a womanizer is legendary and has inspired Muslim men to control women with an iron fist. The only other impediment to women's rights that even comes c...
