It's funny to see people complain about the expense. Pac Bell has a free viewing area on the bay side of the stadium, when you can stand at eye level with the outfielders! The sight lines within are astonishing. Contrast that with Boston, where I now live. I can't see a baseball game for less than $100/ticket (given that all of the seats sell out on day one and are marked up at a rate befitting a contender), and Fenway is a very uncomfortable park, with weird sight lines, in a city with bad weather ... Enjoy what you have there. Take it from someone who grew up going to Candlestick.

AT&T; Park is the most beautiful ballpark in the most beautiful city in the United States. It sits on only 13 acres nestled naturally on its site. Its short right field line (309') is that way due to its proximity to the water and not because some designer thought that would be a "neat" quirk. The 24' wall plus bay winds make it a more difficult target for splash hits than one would expect. The park plays fair (not favoring hitters or pitchers), the grass is not mowed in those annoying patterns but sits as solid green and speaks for itself. The old fashioned brick style, knot-hole gang free view of the field, and unbelievable views combine to make this the best ballpark in the league. The "House that Bonds Built" is timeless. Look for it to host the 2007 MLB All-Star Game next month. It is a truly must-see!!

Architecturally it is simple, graceful, and beautiful with it's red brick facade. The steel design of the light structures meshes well with the look of the Golden Gate Bridge. Lots of cute amenities for small children like the Coke Bottle slide, a mini ballpark inside the ballpark, and a huge replica of Willie May's glove! The product on the field has been top notch with the Giants making the playoffs or at least contending each year. The one feature I really appreciate is the view from right field. Not everyone can afford to purchase a ticket. If this is the case, you can view the games for free from right field. This view in some ways is actually better than the seated views because you are literally right behind the guy playing right field and you can see the action from a players' perspective.

A really nice looking park. Great views looking out on the Bay from most parts of the stadium. McCovey Cove splashdown truly unique. Seats relatively comfortable. Ban garlic fries though!!!

PacBell park is terrific. Located right on the waterfront in South Beach, it is convenient to most public transportation. The park was built with the fan in mind. You are SO CLOSE to the field. And, if the game gets boring, (it is baseball) - the views of downtown San Francisco or the San Francisco Bay are great. Love to watch the "ball divers" go for a ball hit out of the park into the Bay. Go Giants!

PacBell Park is beautiful and visitor friendly. You can make it an inexpensive day or go top of the line. All seats have great views, not a bad one in the place. I love the slide.

Beautiful ball park with a great view. Not a bad seat in the park. The Giants had the best record in the Major Leagues in 2000. Park is easily accessible by public transportation. Splash hits are few but a treat.

This is such a great, great ballpark! I love just going by it via the Bay Bridge, and seeing the big baseball glove from afar. I love how they constructed the building. It's like an old time baseball park, but yet modern on the inside. I love how they have Willie May's statue built right at the front of the stadium before going in. It's really placed in a better spot than before (Candlestick Park). Now it's even better because it's not too windy and it has a better view of everything, like the Bay Bridge!

This park is the best around. It is clean, nice and in San Francisco. It's rated highly in many ways. It's hella nice. It's the nicest park in San Francisco and this is a popular place in California these days.

I've only been there once but it's a very nice park and it looks great. You can see well from any seat in the park. There's a lot of electricity there.

Awesome ballpark design and architecture. Great addition to the city. However, costs are too high for the average consumer. Great night out if you can afford it.

I recently went there for a Giants playoff game. The stadium is great. It has a good atmosphere and good attractions. They have all types of video games to play for people who are not interested in the game. Best of all, homeruns can get hit in the bay.

This park is cool because it has a mini-mall inside the park. It also has an area where kids can participate in ball game games.

I love Pac Bell Park. I think it is so great. The park is right on the water making what ever seat you sit in, a seat with a view. There is not a bad seat in the whole park. I have sat in every part of the park, from behind first base, to nose bleed, to the bleachers and in each seat I had a good view of the field, some better than others but never bad. Since it is SF and on the water, the fog rolls in most every night and you always have to bundle up. The food is also really expensive and the lines long but you take the good with the bad at sporting events. The Giants are a great team and are so fun to watch. The park just makes it that much more fun.

The stadium and the setting are fantastic, but the expense and the long lines take away some of the appeal. I was just there for a Montreal game, and, although the stadium wasn't nearly full, there was always at least a 10 minute wait for the men's restrooms. And you want a Sierra Nevada? Be prepared to drop $6.50 a beer. Still, I saw Bonds hit one into the water, which was a unique experience. And on the same night Estes hit a grand slam (1st time a MLB pitcher as done that since 1998). Add that to some great views of the city and you've got a pretty good night. The park is definitely worth a visit when you're in town.

Read great reviews, but one old time critic said..."you used to go and get a hotdog and a beer, now you go and have sushi and latte"

Beautiful park, beautiful setting with the bay right there. Only knock is that it is going through some growing pains with lines to get in and concession lines.
