Did you hear about that support group of dyslexic agnostics? They couldn't decide if there is a dog.

Well. .. at least this group of people are thinking and weighing the evidence. . . Which is far more than I can claim of their critics.

Unlike atheism and theism, which largely pertain to belief, agnosticism largely pertains to knowledge. Therefore, given the terror that many folks have about knowledge, I guess agnostics are something to fear.

I don't fear the indecisive! Make up your minds already, and don't give me the soft headed "spiritual" fluff that people claim to hedge their bets with.

Depends. Are we talking about your average person on the street who limits human knowledge to experience or are we talking world leaders here? Agnosticism and Atheism have no religious code of ethics. (Whether this is good, bad or otherwise depends on your own point of view) Because they have no religious code of ethics they must rely on humanism. The problem with accepting humanism as your philosophy is that it is a vague ideology which relies on reason and scientific inquiry. This in and of itself is not a bad thing. However when you rely soly on reason and logic to make all decisions you become less human and more robot. It can- not will, but can- lead to one picking and choosing their own morality. This can lead to social darwinism. This philosophy can -not does, but can-lead to horrific events such as the holocaust. Humanism is a vague ideology which can lead to abuse by some in power. Granted religion has lead to abuse by those in power, but this list item is about agnosticism an... Read more

I would think of something else to worry about. There is that factor where they can be annoying. It can be a very superior attitude. They then become the God themselves. They are open to "ideas."

. . . yeah, because you hear all about those overly-enthusiastic and militaristic agnostics who are gung-ho about . . . believing there's not enough evidence to prove nor disprove the existence of some type of God or another, right? I can't say that I've seen entirely too many wars or protests promoting agnosticism. The wording of the list item is bizarre: “Things we should fear: Agnostics”. I don't believe anyone actually “fears” a group of people that don't have religious nor anti-religious beliefs, but I have seen people who dislike (in varying degrees) those who are “Agnostic”. That, I believe, stems from people who have dichotomous views about life: it's either black or white, good or bad, and you either believe in (insert name of whichever religious figure you believe in) or you don't. For some reason, it seems very difficult for people to believe that some people honestly believe that there isn't enough proof to prove nor disprove the existence of any God, so rather than “p... No not really, they are harmless, but I am a little weary of too empirical, skeptical types.
