I think where we miss the mark is confining Christianity to a religion, which it is not. Jesus wasn't offering do's and don'ts, he was offering a relationship with himself, something religion cannot afford. We as Christians also miss the mark when we become legalistic or law based, when we have to have a command from God. Christianity has become too law initiated and not spirit inititated. The difference? Law-living is what an unruly child needs to keep him or her in line. Spirit-living is allowing the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts and being heart driven (not the same as emotionalism), it is when our hearts are filled with God that we then begin operating to do the things of God. I myself miss this often when I get religious and not intimate with God in our relationship. If anybody reading this has been hurt or deeply offended by a "cultural christian" or "legalistic religious christian" I apologize, that is not God's heart.

Interesting how it was prophesied that Jesus would be rejected by his own people and others 700 years before it actually occurred.....hmmmmmm.......ALso interesting how the Koran even states he was born of a virgin and performed many miracles while Jewish Historian Josephus wrote of Jesus' miracles and the wonderous signs he performed as well. Sounds like some pretty solid corroborating evidence for the 4 gospels. Its like Simon Greenleaf (Professor of Evidentiary Methods of Law at Harvard University) once stated, You may, at the end of your investigation of the New Testament choose not to believe, but you may not do it based on the idea that there is not abundant evidence which supports it. Just a side note: A man, who was a skeptic at the time, decided he was going to test the historical accuracy for the book of Acts because he believed at the time that it was all a bunch of crock. However, through his investigation, he found that the book of Acts was 100% historically accurate in its account and this led him to put his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. I mean, its as Jesus said, If you don't believe me when I speak of earthly things, how will you believe me when I speak of heavenly things? So true for so many people in our world today, my heart definitely goes out to them.....Its foolish to say, I can't believe because there is not enough evidence. Trust me its out there, you just have to look. In addition, what I have come to know, its not intellectual pride that usually keeps individuals from Jesus, 99% of the time its usually an underlying issue that goes deeper than that, usually some sort of negative experience. I've seen people who have said they couldn't believe because of their intellectual pride, but once the underlying issue was addressed and dealt with, they came running to Jesus....interesting.......

I just returned from my second missions trip to the Philippines and once again, had a heavenly time. I have still yet to meet one unfriendly filipino, the people there are so amazing, hospitable, and thankful. Almost every person I talked to is so thankful for America and their part in liberating them from the Japanese, but above all they said, they are so thankful for America bringing them Jesus. They said the Lord has made all the difference in their country. Please pray for the filipinos, the filipino pastors, and the country. God bless the Philippines!

I believe everyone can agree this was the worst character ever created. His annoying and mindless babble just ruined episode 1. What in blazes was George Lucas thinking, was he trying to appeal to a younger audience? Well he failed and ended up not appealing to anybody, I've talked to many who abandoned Star Wars because of how poor episode 1 was. They should've replaced episode 1 with episode 2. In fact, George Lucas should have publicly stated that he failed as a director when it came to episode 1 and either threw it out or completely re-done it. Star Wars as a whole could have been so much better, they expected the audience to know too much and didn't take the time to develop each character.

I'd rather do it for the Lord, and present my body as a living sacrifice (Rom. 12:1)

its an utter shame people do not recognize the implications of our media. The harm and abuse it inflicts in our world is detrimental. The media is a good idea and extremely beneficial, but the way it is used nowadays sickens me. The media thrives off human suffering.
