These things are good for one thing and one thing only - enforcing Darwinian laws to help keep the human race at least as intelligent as a chimpanzee.

I love organic cotton fabric. Gaiam is one of my favorite places to shop.

People still use these things?

Children eat the magnets, which stick together in their intestines. Some have died. Many have gone to the hospital in great pain.

Believe it or not I had one of these in Australia and it is relatively safe to use. They make short work of hills. The safety comes from the fact that the blade does not move fast enough to make the mower hover more than a couple of inches off the ground - no higher than the lift on a regular lawnmower.

These things are being recalled all the time. Kids choke on the strings. Not for children under the age of nine.

The hot water heater of the future is here. I just wish it didn't cost ten grand.

Most "sticky yoga mats" are made with phthalates, which are terrible for the environment. Better go with a natural rubber mat or some other material.

Okay, but nothing will ever beat the Eartha Kitt version from back in the day. That one's a classic.

Looks.. and even sounds.. like Vera Wang. I smell a winner... unfortunately.

Odd song about an odd man who's a social misfit. I think it speaks to the loneliness and estrangement in many people who don't fit the norm. One of my Airplane favorites.

Only place you'd get hired with that name is Miss Priscilla's School For Young ladies.

One of the reasons (probably the main reason) that I've made so few lists is that my use of RIA is limited to only a very few minutes at one sitting. I don't have enough time at one go to create an entire list and to do it well. What I would like is the ability to create a list but to save it as a "draft" until such time as I feel it's completed and ready for people to see.

Everything else being equal if you're going to dump a guy simply for having skinny legs then you need to rethink your priorities when it comes to boyfriends.

Again I agree with irishgit. If I have to listen to someone whine and complain I'd rather hear it from inside the tent than from outside in the dark. That way I have the option of rating their comments.

I'm in agreement with irishgit on this one. If you're going to leave then by all means leave.. with or without notice or comment. But deleting your lists punishes only those people who actually took the time to rate and review your lists since all their reviews disappear. There's something mean spirited about it in my opinion.

The people of Florida should be thankful that he's moving from the Florida criminal justice system to CBS.

I'd willingly be a nerd if I could have his brain.

A nerd, yes. But also an even rarer commodity on TV... a gentleman.

I'm always disappointed - and even downhearted - to see one of the "regulars" leave RIA. Obviously the site benefits from new blood and new ideas but it's the reassuring presence of the old hands that give it character, in my opinion. Every family needs its clowns, its curmudgeons, its steady-and-dependable father (and mother) figures, and even its unruly upstart children. IJR filled a certain niche in the grand scheme of things at RIA that only he could occupy. I don't know why he left. Don't even have a clue. But I'm sorry he's gone.

My own thoughts mirror what seems to be the consensus here at RIA. The tasing was indeed excessive... but it couldn't have happened to a more deserving loudmouthed, attention seeking pain-in-the-ass.

I think it's excessive but it isn't unheard of. I know a guy from New Brunswick, Canada who's one of 24 kids born of the same two parents... only two sets of twins. As long as you can provide for them then I don't see a problem.

I agree... people don't kill guns. If some other meaning was intended I'd change my phrasing here.

Our dependance on fossil fuels is unfortunately a fact. But it's a fact that has nothing to do with one's being either liberal or conservative.

Sounds like someone's confusing belligerent nationalism with conservatism.

And I'd suggest that the reason CanadaSucks doesn't "move somewhere else" is because he has every right (and this is enshrined in our Constituion) to complain as much as he likes about his government. If we all accepted the status quo without ever instituting change the Constitution wouldn't have been ammended as many times as it has been.
