 | LadyJesusFan777 (39) 09/12/2008 | As I have stated before, I am neither a Democrat or a Republican. I vote for the best candidate that's qualified. And I am a Christian.

I say Christians can be Republican, Democrat, Liberatarian, Independent, non-partisan (which some believe is the same as Independent), or just not involved in politics whatsoever. It is one's acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior that makes one a Christian, not political party preference.

 | twansalem (48) 02/17/2008 | I've never heard of this before, but it sounds like it probably describe me. I'll have to look into it some more. I typically vote Republican because I am socially conservative, but I don't exactly agree with many of their economic viewpoints, although Democrats seem to go to far the other direction with their economic views.

 | GenghisTheHun (184) 02/16/2008 | This describes me, I guess. I am socially conservative, anti-capitalist, anti-socialist, anti-imperialist, anti-big government, anti-big business, and anti-communist. There are a few of us who believe in the third way.
Don't be scared by the Catholic origins of the doctrine. Most distributists these days are not Catholics.
