This beach is most ideal from far away. It makes for a beautiful sight with the Pao d'Acucar mountain in the background and the buildings that line the beachfront. It is a must see. Although locals will recommend against this, venturing in-land could result in discovering cozy little Bossa Nova bars with live music, and locals' street markets.

There is no place in the world where you can see so many hot guys wearing speedos in the same place!

The second best beach in Rio after Barra. Less trashy than Copacabana, and somewhat cleaner. Great for jogging, and you will be able to see, or participate in beach volleyball and soccer almost around the clock.
