02/20/2005 | As the other comment noted, Kyoto is a must see city in Japan. It was not bombed by the Allies during World War II so much of the original structures from that period and before are preserved. Nevertheless, the Imperial Palace (again as noted in the other comment) is a disappointment. Frankly, I cannot remember anything about it.

03/01/2003 | Kyoto is one of the most beautiful cities in Japan. The Imperial Palace is overrated though, it was kind of boring. I would move to Kyoto in a heartbeat though as this is the city of ultimate zen. So peaceful, serene, and gorgeous.
