
The Dallas Aquarium building opened in 1936 to coincide with the Texas Centennial Celebration festivities, and the saltwater section finally opened in 1964. This aquarium holds 85,000 gallons of seawater, including a 22,000 gallon tunnel with a panoramic view of reef habitat. Other notable exhibits include: "Seahorse Rodeo," "Amazon Flooded Forest," "World of Aquatic Diversity," and more.
