Features here include a narrated "Wilds of Africa" tour, a hike among the 80 species of African birds in Sr. Forest Aviary, a gorilla conservation center (which is currently undergoing a renovation), and a hands-on children's zoo.

The Dallas Zoo is a terrible place to visit. Most of the animals were not even out. It was a very dirty place. The worst part was that the many of the animals were kept in very small cages alone with absolutely nothing to do. It was awful to see the way some of the animals are living.

The Dallas Zoo can't beat The Fort Worth Zoo, but still is OK to go through. It's very dirty, and there's lots of trash flying around. They have a limited selection of animals there, and they're always either hiding or alsleep. I would go to The Fort Worth Zoo unless you're in the mood for a dull day.
