This museum is a division of Southern Methodist University's School of the Arts. It was founded in 1965, featuring an initial collection that was completely donated by a local Dallas businessman. Today the museum is home to one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of Spanish art outside Spain. Highlights include pieces by El Greco, Goya and Picasso; and other Renaissance altarpieces, Baroque canvases, and so forth.
