This is a nice place to hang out during the non-winter seasons. You can read by yourself or have a picnic on the grass with your friends and watch the geese float in the ponds. And if you get bored, you can browse the numerous shops, theatres, and restaurants nearby. Don't come to Boston Common expecting to party, though; people here tend to be polite, healthy, and gainfully employed.

I use to live across from the common during my college days. Beautiful view, and many memories. Springtime is beautiful in the commons, with all the willow trees and ponds. They have swan boat rides in the pond,,,,so cute. Def. a great way to walk to get to the copley area from tremont street.

Gorgeous. I recently stayed at my brother's place in Beacon Hill while attending a conference over on Boylestown, and every day I'd walk down Charles St, through Boston Common, onto Newbury St. and to my conference. My favorite part of this beautiful walk was Boston Common. It's spotless, there are swans and ducks, and it's just a really nice place to hang out.

The oldest park in any American city. And still awesome. In the summer, there are usually around 8 different sports going on here, simultaneously, on any given day. My favorite homeless person in Boston lives here.

I really enjoyed the Common, you get the feeling of Boston here. In fact I enjoyed all of Boston nice city a whole lot of history. As for kooks anoying passers by and garbage, try strooling through NYC.

I prefer the public gardens to Boston Common. There were a few too many kooks heckling passerby and a few too many strewn items of trash for my tastes.
