 | GoinDownSlow (31) 04/12/2007 | My first visit consisted of kicking empty (unfortunately) Schlitz cans off the stairs as we wheezed are way up to the top through urine saturated, stale air only to be greeted by one of Charlestown's finest fast asleep at the top in a puddle of whiz, in an area roughly equivilant to a cell's dimensions at Alcatraz.
Spent approximately 45 seconds looking out through a 3x3 foot hole piercing 100 feet of concete, saw absolutely nothing of value, and left.
Best damn day of my young life!

 | PoorOldEdgarDerby (4) 03/06/2001 | If you're in Charlestown it's probably worth taking the walk up the hill to the monument but otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. There are certainly many more interesting monuments and sites to see in the city itself and all with in a close proximity of each other. Bunker Hill doesn't really have a whole lot of other things near it that you might want to see, although Charlestown is a pretty area if you're just feeling like a stroll. If you don't get a chance to stand beside it or walk up it's inner staircase you can always see it from the highway :-)

 | Al-Davis-Lives! (0) 03/26/2000 | Although it's not the coolest site in Boston it's definitely worth checking out especially is you climb the narrow staircase to the top for the view. Certainly, on a pleasant day, worth the walk over into Charlestown.
