Ya, the parks nice. Well kept, the scenery is nice, and the rangers do an excellent job of explaining the site. Nice change of pace, especially after spending five hours on the Freedom Trail, all the time dodging drunks, skateboarders and bicycle couriers, and the distinct possibility that you will be mugged or have your wallet stolen.Concord/Lexington residents though want you there about as much as they like having a drug rehab clinic or low-rent housing in their back yard.Welcome, now get the fuck out!

You gotta go see where it all started. I wish they would thin some of the trees around Concord Bridge to make it more like 1775.

Great Park! They have just added an excellent audio walking tour that uses your own cell phone. Very easy to use and the tour fee helps the park. You get a very good presentation on Paul Reveres midnight ride, the battle at the North Bridge and other sites on the park. More info at http://www.nps.gov/mima/CELLPHONEAUDIOTOURS.html
