09/10/2004 | Again, for the last 40 years of marked, noticeable decline in our schools, obviously we've never had a real leader. Only every prominent national and state-level politician promises to improve education by throwing more money at it from his/her unique direction, trajectory and speed. (alarm ringing) IT DOESN'T WORK! DECENTRALIZE IT AND GET THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OUT OF IT! Does it take a brick wall to fall on you, or what?!

09/10/2004 | In the best interest of our children and future of this country, this must be done. Our current philosophy towards education needs to be totally changed. We have brought far too many social issues into education and we are tolerating too many diversions that have nothing to do with what kids learn. I feel education needs to be totally privatized and allow federal funds to help those who need it for tuition. Overall, children in private schools develop a better fundamental background. There are fewer distractions brought from the community at these schools simply because they are not tolerated like they are at too many public schools. Both parents and students take their education more seriously, generally speaking, than they do at many public schools; particularly inner-city schools.
