 | Rocket Robin Hood (1) 05/14/2005 | I am glad it is still there, I am
glad it has been restored, but I still
miss the late great Penn Station!!!
Too bad the 20th Century and it's red
carpet is not there. The long vanished
promise of an all pullman ride behind
a magnificient NYC Hudson still hangs
in the air when you enter Grand Central.

 | texasyankee (22) 03/31/2005 | Not sure about this one. I once went to the bathroom and found a bum washing herself off in one of the sinks...if that's cool hey, I'm all for it lets go back there again.;)

 | abichara (63) 07/29/2003 | Grand Central is quite impressive. Very nice domed roofs with intricate designs and nice lamps throughout. Thank God this place was saved from the bulldozer in the 1970's and rehabilitated. It would have been an incredible loss to not have this building anymore.

 | Moosekarloff (19) 07/03/2003 | It's just a train station, but they did do a fine job in renovating it.

 | callmetootie (5) 04/04/2001 | They have really cleaned up the station, and it is surprisingly beautiful. The walls and ceiling are like gold, and there are beautiful paintings spread across the ceiling. There are not as many homeless, sick people laying around as in the past, and there are police everywhere. It may be scary for the little ones, or for those not used to modern city life.

 | TheShoeLady (0) 04/13/2000 | I love what has been done to Grand Central. The shops and restaurants are not run of the mill. The ceiling on the first floor is beautiful. The supermarket has some of the freshest food I have ever seen. For a non mall experience, try shopping at the boutiques they set up at Xmas.

 | Ruby (16) 04/08/2000 | They cleaned it up nice, and it no longer doubles as a homeless shelter, but I would never recommend visiting it as an "attraction". Take a stroll around if you're waiting for a train to Connecticut, but don't go out of your way!

 | PoorOldEdgarDerby (4) 04/05/2000 | Really cool. No matter how many times I walk out of the tunnels and into Grand Central I still have to take a moment to look around. Beautiful!! A real piece of New York.

 | Al-Davis-Lives! (0) 04/05/2000 | Definitely something you've got to see when you're in Manhattan. Even if you don't have to go somewhere just walk in and admire the architecture, the main concourse, the tremendous ceilings. It is truly incredible.
