The knock on Griffin is he's too small, doesn't have breakaway speed, and lacks the endurance to finish a game. Therefore, I'd say he makes for a decent spellback or backup. You'd think he would excell in a runningback by committee situation, but he didn't really in Denver. He is not a feature back and has no potential to be one. I can't really figure out why the Chiefs would sign him other than maybe to compete for a roster spot against Dee Brown or in case Holmes does retire. I think they would be better served spending a second day draft pick on a project player since they have the luxury of a young, injury-free beast of a starter in Larry Johnson
