Let's see...Formed and played in "Runt", "Utopia", "The New Cars". Recorded "The Hermit of Mink Hollow", "Something..Anything" "The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect", and several other fine albums. Produced albums for The Tubes, XTC, and several other rock acts. Recorded a few Top 40 hits ("Hello, It's Me", "We Gotta Get You a Woman", "Bang the Drum All Day"). On top of all that, he built Bearsville Studio. Why the hell should he NOT be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Surely writing a song that became a hit single for England Dan & John Ford Coley ("Love Is The Answer") didn't disqualify him, for God's sake!

some nice moments a great producer (Badfinger, Grand Funk).

Aboslutely! Todd has not only had his share of hits ("Hello It's Me," "I Saw The Light," "Can We Still Be Friends" and the satirical "Bang On The Drum"), but he also was a great producer, songwriter, singer, guitarist, keyboardist, you name it, he's done it. He's also been in bands like Nazz and Utopia and probably was the inspiration for one-hit wonders the New Radicals' "You Get What You Give." It's time to give Todd his due, Hall Of Fame.

Killer guitar chops, great song writer, great voice, one of the best producers in the business, no doubt he deserves to be there.

Rock's renaissance man.

Great Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Arranger/Engineer/Multi-Instrumentalist. Video Pioneer. Should be in the Hall on his production work alone.
melkestra 09/29/2007
Phenomenal singer, prolific songwriter, multi-talented musician, music producer and music video pioneer for 40 years. Does he have to cure diseases too? Give the guy his due!

What can I say, he is too good for the R&R Hall standard. He should have inducted the same year he was eligable, but since he was not and still has not been recognized (by the Hall)it's all but too late. It doesn't seem to bother him but they truly missed the mark this time.

Todd is a very talented and influential performer and producer. It's past time to give him his due.

He's done very much in his career behind the stages for lots of artists like Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, and his work on the stage is awesome too.

Pure Genius

Great performer, but really he should be selected in the "non-performer" category. One of the top producers of all time.

Todd is essential. A WIZARD / A TRUE STAR!
kingguiness 07/14/2005
Seems to have isolated himself from the mainstream after making a string of 70's hits. And, more power to him for doing so.

Check his body of work. Learn a little about his life. LISTEN to his music. He should have been a charter member.
