They built upon James Brown's funk with wild theatrics and great musicianship. Gary Shider on guitar, Bernie Worrell on synthesiser, Bootsy Collins on bass. Who can forget the great vocals of Glen Goins on "Swing Down Sweet Chariot ,Live"! It can be seen on You Tube. Brings back great memories of my college days.
