04/11/2007 | Tremendous funk bank. They were my favorite group when I was in high school. The album covers were very "uplifting" for a teenage boy. My mother hated these guys; which made me love them even more. She said they were "a bunch of hoodlems." I finally got to see them in concert in the early 90's. Even without the horn section, they were outstanding. "Sugarfoot" Bonner seemed as if he were in a time warp. He was fabulous.

01/09/2005 | Their sound is distinctive. I grew up on their music. The album covers are classic and my brother used them to decorate his teenaged bedroom. I had a chance to see them in concert in B'ham, AL a few years ago and the show was outstanding!
