For jackets in the $150 range this is the best I have found. True it is not as water proof as it claims. But if you are not standing under a water fall, or outside in a monsoon this jacket will keep you dry. I have had other jackets similar in price (nike, cabelas, The North Face) And my Bugaboo hangs with even the most expensive one. If you want a fully 100% water proof coat spend the $200 and get a Goretex coat. This coat will be sufficent for 95% of the people using it.

This jacket is so insufficient in so many ways. Many have complained that the waterproofing is not sufficient (I agree), but it also lacks a hood. This is a major bummer in most situations where the waterproofing would be necessary. It is too warm for skiing/snowboarding with the liner, but good for day to day cold situations. The other thing that I hate about this jacket is the top of the collar is made of very ruff fabric that irritates my skin when i have to zip it up all the way. Wear it around when no rain or wind is expected and you will be happy.

The jacket itself is quality made and definitely keeps you warm in the snow. The colors are a little old fashioned, but still look okay. Unfortunately, it's not that good for skiing. It is just too restricting with the cushion and it's way too hot when you're skiing. Otherwise, it's a good jacket to wear in the winter snow.

This jacket is really warm. I like the inner jacket that can be removed if it gets too warm. The outer shell is very nice and it's waterproof.

This was one of the worst jackets I had. It worked well the first time, but after a few more times the jacket began to soak. I could no longer wear it to the slopes any more. I had to buy a new jacket.

This jacket is warm and thick. It keeps you dry. It's not too heavy and your skin can still breathe.

This jacket works well in a light drizzle but when the rain really starts coming down it isn't much help. It allows for a little it of seepage but doesn't breathe well. I would rather pay more for a Gore-tex jacket.

This jacket looks like it's waterproof but it's not! Don't let it fool you.

The Columbia Bugaboo Parka keeps me warm through the rough winters of Colorado to the chilly winters in California. It is a versatile jacket that has many functions. It can be used during the summer by separating the lining of the jacket. Also, it has glove holders and pockets in neat places.

I love this jacket! It is very versatile and I like to bring it anywhere for 'just in case...' weather. For the coastal areas, where I often travel, it is great for the windy conditions by the ocean. For even more extreme weather-this jacket is warm enough.

Good jacket I've had mine for years. It's held up quite well. I like the zip in lining feature. It's biggest drawback is that it's not waterproof.
