Palestinian terrorists murdered Israeli Olympians, and shady officiating decisions screwed the U.S. Basketball team out of the gold medal. Not much to brag about for these games.

While Mark Spitz the(Jewish) swimmer is probably the athlete most remembered for these games,everything was overshadowed by the murder of the Israeli athletes by Palestinian terrorists.
