In his prime Bob Foster was unbeatable in the light heavyweight division. He looked like a basketball player instead of a fighter. His arms were long and skinny. But boy could he punch! His skills rapidly faded at the end of his career but in his prime he was the best.

he gets this credit for only two reasons: his left hook and his impressive title reign. aside from dick tiger, frazier, and ali, he didn't face any real comp. aside from the latter, he was just an average contender.

Bob Foster is definately a leading contender for the best lightheavy,ever.And even though Archie Moore has the kayo record,with 140,Foster, at 6'3'' may have hit harder. If Foster had kayoed Roy Jones, for example,it wouldn't have surprised many people;if Foster caught you right,you were in trouble.
