Mexican Bantamweight Ruben Olivares was known as a devastating puncher. Olivares won the Bantamweight title in 1969 by knocking out Lionel Rose - at this point his record was 51-0-1. Olivares finished with a career record of 88-13-3. (Add picture)

his power is nothing short of scary, hes much better at boxing than most ppl know, he fought and beat some of the best in his time. he was a little slow and was cut easy, but he made up for it for being the best bantam puncher ever.

I feel Ruben was a very good fighter from what i've seen of him very exciting to watch and very skilled.One of the best in his weight classes ever.Need to see more of his fights to make an accurate comment.

Ruben Olivares was not only a bantamweight and featherweight champ,but from the late sixties through the early seventies, he was possibly the most exciting fighter to watch in the world.
