I wonder if that same broker came to Fresno. UBS FINANCIAL SERVICES INC. hired a CPA Broker that made unauthorized trades and took senior out of AAA Tax Free California Bonds and put her in B Bond mutual funds saying they were safe and secure. Lost over $60,000 and company wanted her to join with them against this broker when they fired him because of missing funds in another senior's account. They would not return the money that was dishonestly taken. It now goes to the NASD. and SEC.

I rate this as OK but I have not used their services; I just wanted to give a small inside scoop on what I've heard about "House of Paine". This may or may not be helpful. Former employees I have worked with and some financial professionals who work with Paine Webber do not have good things to say about the quality of their service or employees.

I hate to say it, but I have had a very good experience Paine Webber's full-service broker service - so much so, that it has prevented me from taking the plunge to online trading. My agent took the time to learn the kinds of companies that interest me, my risk level, etc, and has consistently made recommendations which I have been happy with - and more importantly, have performed.
